In early October, the first module of the business bachelor’s program at the SKOLKOVO School of Management and MIPT was completed. About how it was – in the material InTrend.
Students of the program spent five weeks in SKOLKOVO before heading to MIPT for the rest of the semester. An extraordinary disciplinary composition was developed for the module, which included behavioral economics, media philosophy, evolutionary and neurobiology, and leadership. That is, the study of the world and sciences on the program occurs from different angles at the same time.
Both teachers and students were put in a strict time frame: one week – one professor – one discipline. The module was led by five professors, two from SKOLKOVO and three invited, each with a degree from leading foreign universities.
A course on interdisciplinary assembly has been added to the curriculum so that students can form a comprehensive picture of the world for themselves. In addition, academic knowledge, solving practical problems, simulations, trainings were combined, so that already in the first year students were prepared to apply knowledge in life.
The SKOLKOVO and MIPT business bachelor’s programs started in September of this year. The program combines intensive study of natural sciences and IT, serious immersion in socio-humanitarian knowledge, academic depth in understanding the world and the ability to take practical action, requiring various business competencies. The purpose of the program is in line with the objectives of SKOLKOVO: to train leaders who are able to find unique integrated business solutions in the face of unpredictable changes.
