The Medivio telemedicine platform has just been implemented on the Polish market – the first certified telemedicine clinic enabling contact between a doctor and a patient, available to anyone and anywhere. The participants of this year’s Economic Forum in Krynica are the first to have the opportunity to learn about the functionality of this unique tool, improving the therapeutic process.
Modern medicine is not only about modern drugs, but also quick contact with the patient and proper diagnosis, using innovative tools and new forms of communication. The answer to the needs of doctors and their patients is the Medivio telemedicine platform, created by Silvermedia, the leader of IT solutions in the field of telemedicine in Poland, in cooperation with the strategic partner of the Adamed Group, a Polish pharmaceutical and biotechnology company.
The first certified telemedicine clinic on the Polish market, Medivio, enables the doctor to remotely communicate with his patient from anywhere in the world and to make a diagnosis, just like during a traditional visit to a doctor’s office. Thanks to Medivio, patients and doctors have quick and safe access to medical records and diagnostic test results. The tool helps patients to control regular medication intake, keep measurement diaries and integrates with external measuring devices, e.g. blood pressure monitors or ECG, thus improving the therapeutic process. The platform also offers patients huge resources of professional educational materials prepared by specialist doctors. For Medivio doctors, it is also an opportunity to significantly optimize their working time, conduct remote teleconsultations with their patients and the opportunity to participate in mobile and stationary medical education through Medivio Telemedicine Educational Centers.
The Medivio telemedicine platform is a certified class 2A medical device that meets the stringent quality standards set out in the Act of May 20, 2010 on medical devices (Journal of Laws of 2015, item 876, single text). The highest quality of the platform has been supported by ISO 13485 certification and clinical trials.
Thanks to Medivio, the first certified telemedicine clinic, which can also be used on a smartphone or tablet, patients can easily, anytime and anywhere, take care of their health. Doctors, on the other hand, were given the opportunity to introduce their clinic into the era of mobility, which both themselves and their patients have long been waiting for, especially those who are professionally active and living far away from specialized treatment or diagnostic centers.
Medivio, thanks to the ongoing monitoring of the health condition and supervision of medication intake by chronically ill people, flexible access to medical records and teleconsultations, ensures more effective therapy, thus contributing to reducing the number of traditional contacts with health care institutions and reducing the number of hospitalizations.
Medivio, by eliminating queues at healthcare entities, is an effective means of rationalizing expenses and reducing costs in health care. Therefore, Medivio responds both to the contemporary challenges of medicine and is part of the strategy of sustainable economic development of the country for the coming years.
The functionalities of the Medivio telemedicine platform were presented for the first time on September 8 this year. at the Economic Forum in Krynica, during the panel “Optimization of the healthcare system in Poland”.
The innovative Medivio telemedicine platform is a certified class 2A medical device (CE 2274 Certificate). This product is manufactured in accordance with the medical ISO 13485 standard. Medivio is the first certified telemedicine clinic that gives physicians access to electronic patient records, the ability to manage their offices and constant contact with their patients. Medivio makes it possible to provide health services to doctors from anywhere and increases the availability of doctors to patients. Medivio provides patients with the possibility to monitor their health condition and enables teleconsultation with their doctor.
The Medivio telemedicine platform was developed as part of the cooperation between Silvermedia, the leader of IT solutions in the field of telemedicine in Poland, and the Adamed Group, a Polish pharmaceutical and biotechnology company.
