Assessing the acquisition of basic skills
The trainings of the Synton program are, first of all, skill trainings. Efficiency mark?
The skill of «Total YES» — up to the Basic one, God forbid, 1 percent of the participants have it. After the main course of the Synton program, it seems that more than half of the skill as a whole is built in. At a minimum, there is knowledge, there is interest, there is skill. The skill is not strong, not for everyone, but if compared with the initial level, then I would rate even such an achievement as great.
The skill of calm presence, confident behavior, the skill of a benevolent attitude, the skill of a positive outlook on life — the results are similar.
What accounts for such a strong result? Firstly, most of the skills of the Synthon-Program that we are analyzing do not differ either in game activity or in real life.
Secondly, homework adds the required number of repetitions, which is missing in the main training.
But Distance — firmly forms skills if a person works honestly.
Is the Synthon program suitable for everyone?
The synton program is not suitable for everyone: it is designed for active people who are ready to work with their heads and do a lot on their own. Such people do not need to chew everything in detail, it is enough for such people to show the exercise, explain its idea and tell how they can work it out themselves. This saves time and gives the participants the opportunity to master not two or three, but ten to fifteen interesting and useful exercises during the training.
However, some people perceive training as a kind of magic wand that will easily solve their needs without stress. They come to the training of the Synton program without setting themselves the task of doing something on their own. While at the training, they do all the exercises under the guidance of the trainer, but they do not do the tasks that the training leader gives as homework for self-practice after the trainings. As a result, those exercises that were only shown are not mastered by such participants, and for such people the effectiveness of the Synton program is low or short-lived.
The situation is different in psychotherapeutic trainings. The load on them is less: as a rule, at such trainings it is not required to turn on the head strongly, draw any conclusions, plan work to change oneself in the future. Participants perform a number of tasks, the meaning of which may not be clear or obvious to them (they breathe intensively, draw, act out situations), but they do them to the end, to the result, and in the aggregate, the processes carried out give the desired result — changes in the mental state to a more calm and joyful . They didn’t do it — they did it to them, they won’t be able to repeat it on their own, but they received a situational improvement. As a result, for some people, psychotherapeutic training is more comfortable and acceptable than the Synton program that encourages them to work and change.
