“The doctor was wrong by 7 months when determining my pregnancy.”

The specialist assured the girl that she was in the sixth week. Three days later, she gave birth at home – in her own bathroom.

Becoming a mom at 18 is not at all what Aimee Sivens expected from life. Yes, she had a boyfriend, they even lived together, but they did not plan children. Amy, as a responsible person, every three months went to her gynecologist for contraceptive injections: the doctor assured her that this measure would protect the girl from unwanted pregnancy no worse than contraceptive ones. But something went wrong.

During her next visit, Aimee complained that from time to time she was bothered by a strange nagging pain in the abdomen: something like cramps. The gynecologist was surprised and suggested that the girl take a pregnancy test just in case. The test was positive – the result was very weak, the second strip was barely visible.

“Fifth-sixth week”, – the doctor pronounced the verdict.

“At that moment I felt … Yes, I felt everything at once. I didn’t know what to do. I wanted to cry, I was very confused, ”says Amy.

The girl’s boyfriend was also confused. And she went home and tried to distract herself, to give herself time for the thoughts in her head to settle down. Fortunately, there was something to do: work, study in college, and then you still have to pass the license …

Two days later, Aimee felt unwell: those same cramps in the abdomen returned with renewed vigor.

“I came back from my driving lesson and immediately went to bed, I felt so bad. I thought it was something with the intestines or, what good, a miscarriage, but I hoped that the pain would just go away. I put hot towels on my stomach, but it got worse and worse, ”the girl recalls.

Suddenly, Amy really wanted to use the toilet. In the hope that now everything is working out, the girl got to the bathroom. “I decided to sit there until the pain goes away. It was exactly midnight, ”recalls Amy. “And Che was born at 12:45.”

According to the young mother, she was sitting on the toilet when everything happened: she was overtaken by an attack of such pain that she vomited into the sink. And then suddenly there was a sharp relief.

“I got up and saw a baby in the toilet – tiny legs sticking out from there. It was impossible to believe in it. I literally caught the baby out of the bowl, took it in my arms, called my mother and went into the room, ”Amy still wonders how this could have happened to her.

Amy cut the umbilical cord with ordinary scissors and flushed the placenta down the toilet. Then Becky, Amy’s mom, came running. She did not even suspect that she suddenly became a grandmother, because her daughter was only two months old!

Fortunately, Becky quickly recovered, tied her daughter’s umbilical cord and called an ambulance. The girl and the baby were taken to the hospital.

The doctors could not establish exactly how long Amy had given birth: it was possible to assess the condition of the placenta, but her young mother flushed down the toilet. But they are inclined to think that childbirth happened at about 38 weeks, a little ahead of schedule. And the weight of the newborn was by no means six weeks old: Che weighed 2,5 kilograms.

“I started sending messages to friends, to my boss to explain why I couldn’t go to work. But nobody believed me. After all, I did not have a belly, I did not gain weight, my behavior did not change. And there were no menstruation anyway – because of the injections. Nobody believed it until I sent the photo, ”Amy laughs.

Three days later, the young mother and son were already at home. Friends helped to collect everything needed for the baby, and the hospital gave out a set of clothes and diapers for several days. Now the baby is already 16 months old, and his mother has returned to work and plans to complete her education: “I can’t imagine how I lived without my son at all. My life changed in one moment, but I do not regret anything. “
