The 31-year-old woman had no idea she was pregnant. She did not stop training, traveled and even underwent plastic surgery while in position.
Charlotte was minding her own business that beautiful day off. And there was a lot to do: first a seven-kilometer run, then a five-kilometer walk, online training. Why so much? Because Charlotte was going to have children sometime in the future, and this could be a problem: a huge amount of excess weight against the background of polycystic ovary syndrome, which means infertility with a high degree of probability. Charlotte took up herself, lost almost 100 kilograms in a year and a half – now she weighed about 70 kilos and was not going to give up work on herself. But suddenly, in the midst of training, she began to have stomach cramps.
This is how Charlotte looked before losing weight
Due to the quarantine, it was not so easy to get to the hospital. In addition, she was visiting her boyfriend in Amsterdam. Her British health insurance didn’t go that far, so Charlotte called her doctor via video link. He looked at her, asked a few questions and delivered a verdict: irritable bowel syndrome, indigestion and flatulence against the background of these problems. Charlotte believed. And an hour later she realized that she was giving birth – only at that moment she found out that she was pregnant.
“I felt great, my periods did not stop, my stomach did not grow. Dominik and I, my boyfriend, were not even going to have children – we were discussing that someday, in the not too distant future, we might have children. But so suddenly … ”- says Charlotte.
The girl explained that during the quarantine, she and Dominik had not seen for 11 weeks. Then the restrictions were gradually lifted, and she went to him in Amsterdam. I rode a bicycle, drank champagne … “I am still ashamed of that! But I didn’t know that I was pregnant … ”In general, I led my usual active and, fortunately, practically healthy lifestyle.
“I went to the toilet and suddenly … the umbilical cord fell out! I was shocked, but I perceived everything that was happening somehow detached, as if this was not happening to me. I knew that a prolapse of the umbilical cord is bad. This means that the baby does not have enough oxygen, it is necessary to give birth as soon as possible, ”says the girl.
Dominic, who came running to shout, called an ambulance.
“Charlotte suddenly tensed and I saw little legs. Once again – the baby is already halfway out. And the third time the child was born, ”the young father recalls. Charlotte gave birth in just three attempts.
“It’s a girl! I wanted a girl so much … “- Charlotte was delighted. But the baby was not breathing. Dominic tried to give her artificial respiration, and then the baby was taken away by an ambulance.
“We thought she was dead. There was no news at all. We sat in the hallway and waited. But it turned out that she survived! ” – says Charlotte.
Moreover, the baby turned out to be, albeit a little premature, but absolutely healthy. Despite hypoxia, the child’s brain was not damaged.
“The doctors said that it was a miracle, given the circumstances of her birth,” the parents do not hide that both cried when they heard the good news. And four days later, they were able to look at their daughter for the first time – the baby was named Evelyn. She will still have to stay in the ICU for premature babies, but she will be fine. And her mother still cannot believe what happened:
“I ran, went in for sports, rode a bicycle, I even had plastic surgery – they removed excess skin after losing weight and did a breast lift. A pregnancy test was done before the operation and it was negative! And now I understand that I was then in the second month. It doesn’t fit in my head. “
