The combination of colors in the interior: lilac, blue and red

Bright color accents help to breathe life into the interior – the designer of this apartment preferred red, blue and lilac.

Project Author Vlada Nistratov.

The owner of the apartment is a young man. Therefore, the decorator Vlada Nistratova decided to focus on postmodernism, which is now fashionable, combining constructions and materials from a variety of “operas” in a non-trivial way. And to make the interior harmonious, a neutral gray was chosen as a starting point, a base on which multi-colored “strokes” were subsequently applied. For example, in the living room and in the corridor textured wallpaper has become the “canvas”, and in the kitchen – paint. Accent colors (purple, blue, red and green) are added through furnishings, textiles and accessories. And as a result, bright things played in a completely special way.

The combination of colors in the interior lilac

  1. The sitting area in the living room is formed by a sofa, a couple of armchairs and a coffee table. So that the wall behind the sofa does not look monotonous, on it posted several “pictures”… The portraits found in the album of French artists were matched with multi-colored mats and identical gilded framework.

  2. The storage system framing the doorway is a redesign of the standard CD racks. The narrow racks were simply sized and painted in Red color… After that, it remains to fix them on the wall using fasteners for kitchen cabinets.

Interesting fact: the author of the project opposes the dictates of brands, and therefore there are few items from famous designers in the apartment. Most of the things are of ordinary, even ordinary origin. At the same time, along with new furniture, there are antiques here.

  1. Apartment up to
  2. A pair of chairs that are classic in shape and upholstery, but not in decoration, are the result of the decorator’s work. To match the spirit of the interior, the antiques have been painted purple for the frame. The reception is unusual, but it made it possible to achieve the desired result.

  1. The classic-shaped writing desk, installed near the window, was made in one of the Hungarian factories. But just as in the case of the armchairs, the decorator found the decoration to be inconsistent with the general mood of the interior. Therefore, the table was sanded and painted blue.

  2. There are very few bright colors in the corridor. The abundance of different shades of gray on the walls and floor is only slightly diluted with the white color of the shelving. An interesting trick: a fragment of the wall above the rack is decorated with reproductions taken by a decorator from a men’s magazine. Another unusual move is the sculpture “Ko (s) mical Donkey” by Haim Sokol with luminous eyes and rotating propeller ears.

  1. Despite the rather large area of the kitchen, the designer chose the usual linear layout to place the furniture set. In addition, only the most necessary built-in household appliances are used here: fridge, dishwasher and hob.

  2. However, for young people more is not needed. The dining area (near the window) is formed by a round glass table, colored thermoplastic chairs and a pair of antique armchairs.

  1. A small combined bathroom did not allow playing with color. Therefore, the decorator decided to focus on a win-win combination of black and white tiles. True, the pattern of her styling is not quite common. The geometric panel above the bathroom is reflected in the mirror, visually increasing the space.

  2. Furnishing the bedroom, many donate a small free space in favor of bedside tables. However, even after installing the bed, floor lamps and whatnot, there is still enough space in this room. That is why an armchair appeared here – to the delight of the owners.

  1. In the bedroom, bright colors are inappropriate, so light gray and muted yellow were chosen for its decoration. Shades tend to the classics, but the bed with an openwork headboard is more reminiscent of the East. The linen canopy continues this theme and bright pillows with ethnic ornament.

  2. The console against the wall, seemingly created to store all sorts of little things, is practically not used for its intended purpose. But on it pictures and scented candles are well placed. They contribute to the creation of the necessary atmosphere in the room and also dilute the restrained color scheme.
