It seems to many that they know, if not everything, then a lot about the coronavirus. But doctors do not stop sharing all the new facts about the dangerous disease. The other day, the chief physician of Kommunarka told reporters about the difference between the first and second wave coronavirus, as well as what symptoms are observed in most patients.
According to the specialist, today many patients have a temperature above 38 degrees, which is not confused even by antipyretic drugs. Many also have shortness of breath – the respiratory rate in sick people reaches 28 times per minute, while in healthy people this figure usually does not exceed 16-20.
Well, the main criterion of the disease is still the so-called lung saturation. This medical term means oxygenation of the blood. In a person who does not suffer from coronavirus infection, it is 98-99 percent. Whereas in a patient with covid, it can decrease to 92.

You can check the level of blood oxygen saturation using a special device – a pulse oximeter.
