The character of the British cat: British cats, behavior, features

The appearance of British cats fascinates at first sight. These solid and at the same time touching animals exactly correspond to the name of their breed. They seem to be real ladies and gentlemen from the noble Albion. But how do the British behave? Maybe they have a complex disposition? Here’s what felinologists – cat experts have to say.

The character of the British cat

British cats: character and behavior

Representatives of this breed are naturally restrained and calm. But behind the external equanimity, an original temperament is hidden. The first thing that catches the eye of the owners is the independence of the British kitten. He will be equally kind to all family members, but he is unlikely to immediately lie down on his knees to a person. And you rarely hear meowing from him, only if you really need something. But very soon the positive properties of the British cat will appear:

· devotion;

• friendliness;

· kindness;

• patience;

· Accuracy.

All these positive qualities are combined with high self-esteem.

Constant in its habits and preferences, the “purely English cat” will not stoop to whims and stupid pranks. He has a very high intelligence. At the same time, the British cat knows how to be affectionate and even funny.

British cat: character, features

The main feature of the breed is loyalty to people. The Briton does not choose a pet in the family, as cats usually do. He will be equally affectionate with the hostess, her husband and children. But with babies, the pet is especially gentle and patient.

The imperturbable British cat does not like energetic activity. As a child, he is playful, like all kittens, but as he grows up, he prefers to sit on the window and contemplate the street with an important look. The Briton’s favorite pastime is sleeping in the sun. He himself chooses the time for the fun and the family member with whom he wants to play at the moment. Special cat toys are optional. Natural ingenuity helps the cat to make a toy out of everything he finds in the house – clothespins, baby socks, candy wrappers.

British cats tolerate loneliness easily. Therefore, felinologists consider them ideal pets for business people.

Owners do not have to spend a lot of effort on education. British cats have good manners from birth. The kitten quickly learns to the tray, does not climb on the table. The only thing to encourage the British pet is to move. Naturally heavy, the cat will quickly turn into a fat man if he does not jump and run. Attacks of aggression are not characteristic of this breed. Even if you seriously offend the cat, it will break free, run away, hide for a long time, but will not give free rein to its claws and teeth.

The good-natured and calm nature of the British cat suits both large families and single people. A cute imposing fat man turns out to be a faithful friend who will warm the soul with his sincere love.
