The best varieties of zucchini
Zucchini is incredibly productive. If you have already sown, the problem will be one – to whom to distribute the surplus. There is a popular joke: in order not to go on a visit empty-handed, you need to take a zucchini with you. One vegetable per month can change up to 8 owners. But not all zucchini are born. Let’s find out what they need to grow

According to the ripening time, zucchini are:

  • very early – 28 – 40 days from germination;
  • early – 41 – 45 days;
  • medium early – 46 – 51 days;
  • mid-season – 52 – 61 days;
  • late – 100 – 106 days.

The term is considered from the first ready-made fruits, although at first they are collected small, unripe. If they are left until fully ripe, they will be less tasty, but they will lie for a long time due to the thick skin.

We will talk about such zucchini, which are difficult to refuse – they are so tasty. In our rating, we have selected the most productive varieties of zucchini that are suitable for growing in the Moscow region (Central region), the middle lane, Siberia and the Urals.

How to choose a variety of zucchini

If you want to eat raw zucchini in fresh salads, sow colored vegetables – they are more tender, they have more vitamins, and they also look beautiful in the garden and in separate tubs.

Taste in zucchini is not too important. According to this parameter, varieties, as a rule, are chosen only by gourmets, devoted vegetable connoisseurs who understand the subtleties of taste. After all, almost all zucchini are fresh. But their main culinary advantage is that they perfectly absorb the tastes and aromas of other ingredients, so they are cooked with spices and sauces, with the addition of other fragrant vegetables.

However, for gourmets and among zucchini there are exceptions. Can boast melon flavor and aroma Delicate marshmallow F1, and walnut Orange F1.

It is worth considering the space of the garden. On the plot, zucchini should have enough space under the sun. Well, if there is an open compost heap with almost rotted contents – they can be planted there. In general, each plant should be given 0,7 – 1,0 square meters. m of land, so it is worth calculating whether there is a free area. This is for bush varieties. And there are also climbing ones – they grow like pumpkins. These need a lot of space, but they can be allowed to curl around the fence.

And, of course, if your area has a cool summer, choose cold-resistant varieties and hybrids, for example, Roller, Dragon, Hugo F1.

They are used not young, like other zucchini, but fully ripe. The pulp of such varieties during heat treatment breaks down into long fibers. They are baked in the oven as a whole for about 1 hour at 180 ° C, after piercing the crust with a fork in several places. Then the seeds are taken out, the crust is removed, and the “noodles” are laid out, carefully separating the pulp from the undecayed layer.

Are all zucchini bushy?

Zucchini are not only bush, but also climbing and semi-climbing.
