- Chuiskaya. A tree with a spreading crown, which can be given any shape. Elongated berries with a sweet and sour taste and a medium ripening period.
From a standard sea buckthorn bush, you can collect 5-6 kg of berries, and from representatives of this category – 10 kg or more.
Frost-resistant sea buckthorn varieties
All varieties of sea buckthorn tolerate frosts well, but there are varieties that are not afraid of any frost at all:
- “The Golden Ear”. Small berries that are collected in dense clusters. There are few thorns. Begins to bear fruit early – from the 3rd year of life.
- “Gift of Katun”. A tall bush with an oval crown. There are few thorns, sometimes they are completely absent. Round dark red berries weighing from 0,7 g.
- Trofimovskaya. Shrub with umbrella-shaped crown. Red-orange berries weighing 0,7 g. Feature – high content of ascorbic acid in the composition.
The described varieties can be grown in Siberia and in other cold regions of Russia.
