For facial skin care, you have decided to give preference to natural cosmetics. But, having made the purchase, we were surprised to notice that the cream contains substances that are not at all of natural origin. What does all this mean?

The fact is that almost all cosmetics, along with natural ingredients, contain synthetic preservatives. The latter prevent the emergence of microbes and bacteria, thereby significantly increasing the service life of your favorite creams and serums. There is nothing wrong with that: serious cosmetic companies use only high-quality preservatives. It all depends only on the proportions in which they are present in the jar.

The maximum amount of natural ingredients is found in organic cosmetics. To produce such, manufacturers are required to obtain a special certificate. As a rule, such products contain from 80 to 100% natural constituents. The rest of the synthetic components must also be absolutely harmless and comply with standards. That is why many creators clarify that there are no harmful additives in the compositions of their cosmetics, such as paraffin wax, parabens, silicones, and so on. All of them are replaced with natural ingredients that are equally effective.

Is natural the best?

Not every cosmetics containing natural ingredients can boast that it suits absolutely everyone. But you should not be afraid of it either: if you are sure that you are not allergic to certain natural ingredients, feel free to use such cosmetics. If at the time of flowering you stock up on antihistamines, give preference to creams marked “hypoallergenic”. Among organic cosmetics, these are also present. Just carefully read the composition of the product.

However, the chamomile flower depicted on the cream jar does not always mean that it is there. Read the label carefully: if the herbal ingredient is at the end of the list, then the product contains plant extract in the best case, in the amount of 0,5% of its mass. But if the natural ingredients in the list have a place at the beginning of the list, the cream has every right to be called natural.
