The heroes leave their hospital beds, steal an expensive car, the trunk of which is full of green bills. They become the object of attention at the same time the police and the criminals who owned the car. But they don’t care. Their only goal is to get to the sea, where they have never been.
7. Life is beautiful | 1997
Best Italian Drama”Life is beautiful” (1997), based on the autobiographical story of a Jewish writer, became the rightful owner of three Oscars. A happy life ends in an instant. The Second World War has come. The Jews were persecuted everywhere. Entire echelons of the “ignoble” nation are sent to a real hell, where hard labor awaits them. The wife of one Jew, an Italian by nationality, volunteers to take her husband and young son to a concentration camp. The father comes up with a story for his son that they are going to play a serious game. A very valuable prize has been prepared for the winner – a real tank. By deception, the man manages to save the life of the boy, who until the last was sure that this was a game. But only he did not know that the game of adults with human lives is not as harmless as among the boys in the yard.

The life of a young clerk is boring and gray, he is in search of new and exciting sensations. Everything changes when a certain Tyler Darden appears on his way, having his own cruel philosophy. He believes that only physical force can solve many problems. A strange friendship arises between men: they beat each other to the blood and experience real pleasure from this. Soon friends open an underground club for fights without rules. This place is becoming very popular. But at the end of the picture, men are waiting for completely unpredictable discoveries.

He is merciless in his work and does not know what pity is. His accidental acquaintance with the neighbor’s girl Matilda completely overturns the inner world of the hero. He falls in love, but his past makes itself felt, who has his own scores with the killer.

“Schindler’s list” (1993) is a true story about a man who saved more than 1000 persecuted Jews during World War II. The picture was a terrific success and won seven Oscar nominations – Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay and other awards. He was a member of the Nazi Party, but retained everything human in him. Hiding behind his own position among the Nazis, the hero thereby rescues the victims from trouble and saves hundreds of human lives.

In the center of the plot is a strange black man John Coffey, accused of a brutal murder. He enters the walls of the prison and, along with other prisoners, is waiting for the death sentence to be carried out. An unusual, huge black man attracts the attention of the prison overseer, Paul Edgecomb. It is he who becomes aware of the prisoner’s incredible healing gift. A friendship develops between them. The negro knows about the overseer’s health problems and heals him. Paul learns that John is not involved in the murder he is accused of. He is faced with a dilemma: help the Negro escape or obey his duty and carry out the sentence.

The picture took part in seven Oscar nominations, but despite the high ratings, it did not receive an award. In an instant, success ceases to accompany the banker Andy Dufresne. He is accused of killing his wife and her lover. He is imprisoned in the walls of the most formidable Shawshank prison. This is a real hell, where cruelty and lawlessness reign. No one has yet been able to leave this place of confinement. But Andy is not going to put up with the circumstances and builds a brilliant plan to escape from the hell of the devil.
