Scientists conducted a series of experiments – in the diet of one group of mice they added crimini mushrooms (a type of champignon), ram mushroom, oyster mushrooms, shiitake and champignons. Another group of mice ate traditionally.
The rodents were then fed a chemical that causes inflammation of the colon and stimulates the growth of cancerous tumors. A group of “mushroom” mice survived the poisoning with little or no loss.
Scientists believe that mushrooms can have an equally beneficial effect on humans. True, for this, the patient should eat 100 grams of mushrooms daily.
Best of all, ordinary champignons strengthen the immune system. More exotic mushrooms – oyster mushroom and shiitake – also stimulate the immune system, but less effectively.
