The Age of Machines: The Most Interesting New Beauty Gadgets

The popularity of home devices for face and body skin care has been growing in recent years, and forced self-isolation has only added people’s love to them. We tell you what new items you should pay attention to.

The era when we brought beauty to the house only with the help of a hair dryer, curling iron, maximum – darsonval (a device that has a therapeutic effect on the body through pulsed alternating electric currents), has long passed. Technological progress is also affecting the beauty industry, and we can be glad that a salon effect can now be achieved in our own bathroom.

One of the most interesting, promising and effective technologies today is the so-called LED therapy. This is a hardware treatment that, with the help of light rays, helps to fight various skin problems – from acne or age spots to signs of aging. The technology itself cannot be called new, but it has only recently begun to be actively used in home care.

For example, the famous Swedish brand FOREO, which introduced the fashion for washing with silicone brushes, a couple of years ago released the “washer” Ufo, a gadget that combines light therapy with heating and cooling. You can use it with branded disc masks that are produced specifically for this machine. And they can also drive on a fabric mask. This spring, it was replaced by a new, more advanced version of Ufo 2. It is able to diagnose skin conditions and choose the most effective care regimen through an application on a smartphone.

Regular use is key to seeing noticeable results

Another gadget, this time from Japan, combines light therapy with other functions – ion therapy, hot and cold massages, and microcurrents. The tasks of the Mami massager, L&L Skin, include lifting – it can restore skin tone, tighten the oval of the face, relieve muscle spasms and speed up cellular metabolism, which eliminates puffiness.

Multifunctionality distinguishes many modern gadgets for facial care – it’s understandable, not everyone can afford to spend an hour and a half daily on taking care of themselves, and if you add regular sports, hair styling and other things, then even half a day may not be enough. Therefore, Bork has released a compact machine that is designed for a whole range of procedures. It cleanses, moisturizes and nourishes the skin, improves its texture, takes care of the area around the eyes and provides a lifting effect.

Each type of treatment in the D688 device corresponds to a combination of modes of vibration, heating or cooling, ionization and EMS-massage. For example, for deep cleansing and moisturizing, you need to activate heat, vibration and ION-saturation. Such an effect eliminates impurities and dead skin cells, removes toxins, improves oxygen access, relieves swelling and helps beneficial substances to penetrate the skin, enhancing their effect.

There are opposing opinions about whether home gadgets can completely replace salon care. And it’s impossible to answer unequivocally – it all depends on the initial state of the tissues, lifestyle, nutrition, habits and, of course, genetics. But to make home care more effective, as well as to keep the skin in optimal condition, these devices are quite capable.

The main thing to remember is that regular use is a key factor in achieving noticeable results. Fortunately, all the new products are not only useful, but also convenient and pleasant to use.
