Completely drunk teenage girl on the shores of the lake. 4,8 blood alcohol per mille
On June 27, in the evening, an unconscious 15-year-old girl was found by the Piaski Szczygliczka reservoir in Ostrów Wielkopolski. Ambulance intervened. It turned out that the teenager was deeply intoxicated. Her alcohol level was 4,8 per mille. The girl was taken to the hospital in Ostrów, to the Department of Intensive Care for Children. Her condition was very bad. She was connected to a respirator.
On June 29, wlkp24.info reported that the girl’s condition was improving. “She has been disconnected from the ventilator and is breathing on her own,” informed the doctor. Adam Stangret from the hospital in Ostrów Wielkopolski.
The police were immediately notified about the case. «The first people have already been questioned. These are the young people who were with the 15-year-old that day. They are of a similar age. We asked the specialist in clinical toxicology, Dr. Eryk Matuszkiewicz, MD, to comment on the matter. – 5 per mille is a lethal dose – says the doctor, explaining: – It is believed that when there are 3-4 parts of the body in the body, there is a deep disturbance of consciousness, coma and eventually death. The doctor’s observations show that the age of alcohol initiation, unfortunately, continues to decline. – More and more young people use alcohol. And you don’t have to be thirty or forty to become addicted to alcohol. The problem can affect even teenagers – he says straightforwardly.
– Another possible (though unlikely) option in this story is that the teenager drank that one and a half liter of vodka and after an hour her blood alcohol level was measured (after that time the alcohol reaches its maximum concentration in the body) – adds the toxicologist.

Dr. Eryk Matuszkiewicz explains that the detection of such a high level of alcohol means that the body is completely poisoned. – At the same concentration as in this girl, we observe the narcotic effect of alcohol. There is a deep disturbance of consciousness, the abolition of all reflexes, there is no contact with such a person, he is unconscious. It does not even respond to severe pain – explains the specialist.
