Thai meat: how to cook? Video
Traditional Thai cuisine has evolved over the centuries under the influence of Indian, European and Chinese. Hence, a large number of different spices, many unusual flavor combinations for us and the exotic taste of familiar products. The main ingredients of Thai cuisine are rice, noodles, seafood and meat. Chicken and beef are most commonly used as the latter.
Spicy chicken with vegetables recipe
This dish is quite common in Thai cuisine. Its preparation time, excluding meat marinating, takes only 15 minutes.
Ingredients: – 0,5 kg of chicken fillet; – onion; – 1 carrot; – 1 sweet red pepper; – 100 g frozen green beans; – 2 cloves of garlic; – 3 tbsp. spoons of water; – 5 tbsp. tablespoons of any vegetable oil; – 50 g of peeled peanuts; – 1 tbsp. curry spoon; – 3 tbsp. tablespoons of soy sauce; – 1 teaspoon of grated ginger; – parsley; – salt and black pepper to taste.
Wash the chicken fillet and pat dry on a napkin. Then cut into strips, salt and pepper. Place in a deep saucepan. Add minced garlic, peeled and finely grated ginger to the meat. Drizzle with vegetable oil, cover with cling film and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
In the meantime, prepare the vegetables. Peel the onions and carrots, remove the seeds from the pepper. Cut the beans into 4 cm pieces, the onion into half rings, and the bell peppers into strips. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Mix everything in a separate bowl.
If you don’t have time to deal with vegetables, you can use a frozen Thai vegetable mixture.
Heat some vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken in it, making high heat. When the meat turns white, add the peanuts and vegetables to it. Stir, reduce heat, and simmer until chicken is tender. Add curry and soy sauce. Mix everything, simmer for another 5 minutes and turn off the heat. This dish should be served with separately cooked rice noodles, sprinkled with chopped parsley.
Ingredients: – 500 g of beef; – 1 large onion; – 2 tomatoes; – 1 fresh cucumber; – 1 sweet pepper; – a glass of water; – 2 tbsp. spoons of soy sauce; – 1 teaspoon of starch; – 3 tbsp. tablespoons of vegetable oil; – parsley; – salt to taste.
Cut the beef into small plates and beat well. Cut each piece into thin strips. Place in a skillet with hot vegetable oil and fry for 15 minutes over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for another 7 minutes.
Peel the tomatoes by sprinkling with boiling water and cut into cubes. Cut the onion and bell pepper into strips. Add vegetables to meat, stir everything, reduce heat and cook for another 10 minutes.
Dissolve the starch in a glass of cold water and pour it over the beef. After the dish boils again, add the soy sauce, salt and simmer the beef for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat, place on pre-cooked rice, sprinkle with herbs and garnish with slices of fresh cucumbers.
