Causes of testicle pain
Healthy testicles are an extremely important organ for every man. They are the storehouse and factory of life-giving sperm. From an early age, you should take care of their condition and good condition. There are many causes of testicular pain and they can cause various ailments. The most frequently mentioned are:
- water sports,
- epididymal cyst,
- varicose veins,
- infections,
- testicle torsion,
- inguinal hernia,
- tumors,
- vasectomy,
- injuries.
Why does it hurt?
In order to effectively and quickly diagnose testicular pain, it is necessary to visit a doctor. However, many men still find this problem too embarrassing and avoid seeing a urologist. For many issues that cause testicle pain, time is of the essence. This is the case with cancer, which if detected early, gives a high chance of being cured. Testicular pain may come on suddenly or occur cyclically. It can also be felt only when touching the testicles. The most common cause of pain is testicular torsion, mechanical injuries, it can also be the result of too frequent self-examination of this organ. The most dangerous cause of testicular pain is abdominal aortic aneurysm and cancer, but the latter manifests itself with pain in the initial phase rarely, often delaying the visit to the doctor. Many men also complain of discomfort around the testicles after a vasectomy.
Testicular diseases
- testicle torsion – it is manifested by a sudden, strong and prolonged pain passing into the groin and lower abdomen. There is also swelling in this case, the pain is unilateral, and the scrotum is red. The testicular levator reflex is characteristic of this ailment. It consists in the fact that during a gentle touch of the middle, upper thigh, the scrotum and testicle on the touching side are lifted. The diseased testicle is asymmetrical, arranged high and painful to the touch. This condition is accompanied by fever and nausea. It is a disease of infancy and adolescence as it affects boys from infancy to teenage years.
- Testicle pedicle torsion – is characterized by acute pain in the initial stage, and the ailment itself lasts for several days. The pain is located in the upper part of the testicle. Sometimes this disease is accompanied by a secondary testicular hydrocele, or a blue or black dot in the epididymal or testicular area. This twist is for boys between the ages of 7 and 14.
- Infections — many infections and viruses that cause diseases such as mumps, rubella, parvovirus can lead to orchitis. Inflammation is accompanied by swelling, hyperemia. The testicle is hardened and painful. There may also be weakness of the body, fever, chills and excessive sweating.
- scrotal hernia – this condition very rarely presents with pain, it is more of a discomfort caused by a pulling sensation from the groin, due to a soft, large scrotal tumor.
