SR is a drug whose active ingredient is indapamide, a moderate diuretic substance that causes an increase in the amount of urine excreted. Its properties are similar to those of thiazide diuretics. It inhibits the reciprocal transport of sodium ions in the renal tubules, which results in the increased excretion of sodium in the urine and an increase in the volume of excreted water, chlorine and potassium while reducing calcium excretion.

The action of indapamide also causes vasodilation and a reduction in vascular resistance.

Tertensif – contraindications

Use Tensive curve is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the preparation or to other sulfonamides. In addition, it cannot be used in the presence of severe renal failure, severe liver dysfunction, hepatic encephalopathy and hypokalaemia. Contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

It is not recommended for use in children and adolescents. In elderly patients, the preparation can be used when renal function is normal or only slightly impaired.

Tertensif – precautions

In use Tensive curve caution should be exercised in patients with hepatic impairment. May cause hyponatraemia (decreased sodium in the blood), hypokalaemia (decreased potassium in the blood) and a slight increase in calcium in the blood (hypercalcaemia). The preparation may increase the concentration of uric acid in the blood and increase the frequency of gout attacks. During the application period, diabetics should exercise caution and monitor glucose levels.

There may also be things such as angioedema, toxic necrosis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, hypotension, anaphylactic reactions, syncope, hepatic encephalopathy, hepatitis, increased liver enzymes, hyperglycaemia, hypokalaemia, hyponatraemia, increased uric acid levels. blood.

Tertensif combi is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in people whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with perindopril alone.
