How to make a cocktail
Pour the alcohol and juice into a highball with ice cubes.

History of the Tequila Sunrise cocktail
The Tequila Sunrise (Rising Sun) was invented in the 40s by a bartender who worked at the restaurant at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel.
He was helped in this by a visitor who was very fond of tequila and asked the bartender to mix something that could be drunk by the pool, while stretching the pleasure.
The hotel employee complied with the request, creating one of the most popular long drinks.
The original version of the cocktail included blackcurrant liqueur.
Later, the liquor was replaced with grenadine and the cocktail appeared in the form in which it is known today.
The cocktail got its name due to the fact that components of different densities settle in the glass and create a gradation of colors that resembles a sunrise (sunrise in English).
Tequila Sunrise became really popular thanks to the legendary bands “Rolling Stones” and “Eagles”.
The former drank only this drink during their US tour, while the latter recorded and performed the song of the same name, which topped the world charts of those years.
In addition, in 1988, the film “Tequila Sunrise” with Mel Gibson in the title role was released.
