The Patrón tequila brand

Tequila Patron – premium alcohol, which has the coveted label “made from 100% blue agave juice.”

The production of mash does without the use of modern presses and autoclaves. The distillation itself is carried out using small copper units that have passed the test of time.

Glass, and sometimes even crystal containers for the mentioned tequila are made exclusively by hand.

History of Tequila Patron

In 1944, a boy named John Paul DeJoria was born in the slums of Los Angeles. He was born into a dysfunctional Italian-Greek family, which broke up when the child was two years old.

After a hungry childhood, semi-criminal youth and service in the US Navy, a young man with a high degree of creativity combined with a very quarrelsome character began to look for his place in the sun.

Luck smiled at him only at the age of 36, when he, together with his friend, a hairdresser, created a company that produces hair care products.

After becoming a millionaire a few years later, the talented entrepreneur decided to invest in the production of high-quality tequila, which he so lacked in his younger years.

As a result, in 1989, DeJoria became the co-founder and majority owner of The Patrón Spirits Company, as well as the owner of a low-key brand of Mexican agave distillate called Patrón.

Types of tequila from Patron

It should be noted that the Patron brand combines several product lines of tequila, and also offers its admirers original liqueurs made on the basis of agave distillate.

how to drink tequila

  1. Silver Pattern

Bottled directly after distillation. Has no color.

There is a slight hint of citrus in the smell, and notes of white pepper are guessed in the taste.

It is drunk both in pure form and in various cocktails.

Recommended as an aperitif or with Mexican cuisine. Although, in the presence of a certain breadth of views, the mentioned drink is perfect for a feast of a European or post-Soviet type.

  2. Reposado Pattern

Resting in oak barrels for two months. Has a light golden color. The smell contains oak notes.

On the palate, honey-citrus motives are noted.

It is used in its pure form as an aperitif or during feasts. Added to cocktails at pretentious parties.

  3. Vintage Pattern

One year in oak barrels. Differs in aristocratic amber-golden color.

The fragrance clearly reveals the vanilla theme, enriched with oak counterpoint.

On the palate there is a combination of raisin-honey sweetness and light oak bitterness.

There is an original smoky caramel aftertaste. Of course – a digestif.

  4. Rock Pattern Silver

Another example of virginally transparent youth. The classic agave aroma is enriched with notes of citrus and black pepper.

The same shades, coupled with smoky overtones, which are guessed in the taste.

  5. Rested Pattern Rock

Resting not just like that, but in classic bourbon barrels.

Hence, a rich aroma with vanilla, citrus and oak motifs; and also – the presence in the taste of a ginger-caramel shade against the background of oak bitterness.

Use only in its pure form; preferably – without snacks, and of course – without fanaticism.

  6. Aged Pattern Rock

Amber digestif aged 14 months. It has a spicy fruity aroma.

On the palate there is a spicy combination of ginger caramel and black pepper.

Another important feature is a long velvety aftertaste.

  7. Grand Skipper Platinum

One of the drinks of the top class series, as evidenced by the crystal bottles containing it.

    Produced by triple distillation.

In between distillations, it is placed in oak containers for a while.

It has a rich aroma with a citrus tinge and no less bright taste with hints of black pepper. It is considered a very refined aperitif.

  8. Grand Patron Stone – Aged Tequila

    Has a mahogany color.

It spends three years in French oak barrels, after which it is bottled in tall crystal vessels.

In the multifaceted aroma and rich taste of the drink, there is an unexpected motif of fresh mushrooms.

  9. Great Old Bordeaux Pattern

An elite drink with a dark amber color and produced using a unique technology.

Raw agave alcohol obtained from the first distillation is sent for a year in an ordinary oak container, then it is re-distilled, after which it spends another three years in barrels that once contained Bordeaux.

The result is a kind of alcoholic masterpiece that goes beyond Añejo, with distinct notes of the mentioned wine in the aroma and vanilla-raisin sweetness on the palate.

  10. Pattern in Lalique Series 1 Extra Añejo

Collectible multi-year tequila, with all the appropriate attributes: a crystal craft decanter, exquisite packaging made in the form of a carved maple cabinet, an individual certificate and an undemocratic price.

The aroma of the drink harmoniously combines the equivalent themes of agave and oak.

On the palate, along with the already familiar hints of vanilla, honey and caramel, quite unusual nutty notes can be traced.

Liqueur on Patron

In conclusion, it is worth saying a few words about the aforementioned liqueurs produced by The Patrón Spirits Company based on their own tequila.

In particular, lovers of this alcoholic genre are offered the following drinks:

  1. Coffee liqueur Patrón XO Cafe

  2. Patrón Citrónge orange liqueur

  3. Lime liqueur Patrón Lime

  4. Mango liqueur Patrón Mango

In general, we are ready to agree with the economic philosophy of a billionaire from the slums. Like it or not, it is much more pleasant and more useful to spend money on high-quality alcohol once than to drink cheap alcohol of dubious quality three or four times in a row.
