Tenasil

Tenasil is used to treat fungal skin infections: tinea pedis, mycosis of the skin folds, ringworm, yeast infections of the skin and tinea versicolor. The preparation is in the form of a cream and is dispensed without a prescription in pharmacies.

Tenasil – indications and dosage

Tenasil is recommended for fungal infections of the skin:

  1. athlete’s foot,
  2. mycosis of skin folds,
  3. mycosis of smooth skin,

and:

  1. yeast dermatitis,
  2. pityriasis versicolor.

Dosage

It should be applied topically to the skin.

  1. Fungal skin infections: athlete’s foot, mycosis of skin folds, mycosis of smooth skin and yeast infections of the skin. 1 × / d for 1 week
  2. Pityriasis versicolor. 1 × / d for 2 weeks

Tenasil and contraindications

Contraindications to the use of Tenasil are:

  1. hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation,
  2. do not use in children up to 12 years of age,
  3. the preparation should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Tenasil – warnings

  1. If, after 2 weeks of starting treatment with Tenasil, your symptoms do not improve, see your doctor.
  2. Tenasil is for external use only, for use on the skin.
  3. Protect your eyes from contact with Tenasil.
  4. In the event of accidental eye contact, rinse with running water.
  5. In the event of an allergic reaction, the use of ointments should be discontinued.
  6. The preparation contains methyl hydroxybenzoate and propyl hydroxybenzoate. Therefore, it may cause allergic reactions.
  7. Hands should be washed after each use of Tenasil.
  8. Personal hygiene measures should be observed to avoid re-contamination.
  9. Tenasil should not be used in children under 12 years of age.
  10. Do not use the preparation during pregnancy and breastfeeding, unless the doctor considers it necessary.

Tenasil – interactions

There are no known interactions of Tenasil with other drugs.

Tenasil – side effects

Side effects include mild and transient skin symptoms at the site of application, such as:

  1. dry skin
  2. skin irritation,
  3. burning sensation,
  4. in very rare cases, allergic reactions such as rash, itching, dermatitis bullous and hives may occur.
