The end of the academic year (internships, vacations, etc.) or the end of the calendar season…
Realizing that a certain period of time is about to end, we begin to perceive the remaining days and hours as a very valuable resource — for work, communication or gaining missing knowledge. And we strive to use it as fully as possible: we become more active, decisive, communicate with loved ones more often, especially appreciate every moment and feel generally happier than usual. Only one “but”: a study conducted by psychologists from Pomona College (USA) showed that in general we rarely realize the transience of events happening to us. Psychologists advise more often to remind yourself of what is now, but will end soon.
