Temruk

The personal drink of the cognac factory, which is located in the Krasnodar Territory – on the Taman Peninsula, appeared on the market in 1996, and became the hallmark of the enterprise. The blend uses spirits aged from four to six years. Cognac is not produced for export, so it is known only in Russia.

Historical reference. The plant in the small town of Temryuk was built in 1962. At that time, it was part of the Komsomolsky wine-making state farm. The climate of the Taman Peninsula, favorable for growing grapes, contributed to the successful development of the enterprise, which at first produced only wines – sparkling, dessert, vintage and dry. The decision to produce brandy was made by the factory management in 1991. At the same time, special departments appeared in the cellars of the plant for aging cognac distillates. “Temryuk” became the first drink of the category.

In 2002, the enterprise went through the privatization procedure: it changed its status, becoming a limited liability company, and the name – to Temryuk Brandy Factory LLC. The distillery has its own vineyards, the area of which is 450 hectares, workshops for the distillation of spirits and bottling lines have been built.

This is a full-cycle production with strict control at each stage according to the principle of European cognac houses. In the manufacture of drinks, specialists use only classical technologies. For cognac distillates, well-known grape varieties are specially grown – Bianca, Magarach, Moldova, Isabella. A network of Temryuk branded stores has been created in the Kuban, popularizing the plant’s products.

The assortment of the enterprise is gradually expanding, the skill of specialists who are guided by European standards is growing. In addition to the branded “Temryuk”, Kuban sells the brandy “Gift of Temryuk”, ordinary drinks “Adis”, “Kazar” and “Prince Temryuk”. Cognac tinctures are in demand among the local population – cherry, peach, cranberry, apricot, currant. Of the wines, the most popular are white, red and pink “Temryuk”, as well as the fragrant “Isabella”.

Characteristics of cognac “Temryuk”

The drink is made according to the traditional technology borrowed from the French masters of the Cognac region. The climate features and favorable conditions for growing grapes on the Taman Peninsula affected the taste and aroma of cognac spirits aged in Caucasian oak barrels. The rich and even slightly sharp aroma of cognac is rich in shades – notes of wild flowers, steppe wormwood, white grapes, dried apricots, green apples are heard in it. Harmonious taste with notes of raisins, vanilla, cherries and apples makes a pleasant impression and is remembered.

Traditionally, brandy is served as a digestif – with coffee, chocolate, sweet desserts and fruits. But connoisseurs note its harmonious compatibility with hard cheeses and cold meats, so it is possible to serve the drink for lunch or dinner. Serving temperature +18-20 °С.
