Teka washing machines cannot be called popular among Russian consumers. We will find out who produces these cars, what models are on our market and why they are interesting for the average buyer.
Where is SMA “Teka” collected?
Teka is a German brand with original German roots. Leads its history since 1924. Today it is a powerful corporation that has 13 factories in Europe alone. There are also production facilities in America and Asia. Teka products are sold all over the world – in more than a hundred countries. The representative office of the company has been open in Russia since 2004.
Automatic washing machines are one of the types of household appliances produced by this industrial giant. It cannot be said that this is one of the most popular brands on the Russian SMA market, but its products undoubtedly deserve attention.
Among our consumers, the idea has taken root that the quality of washing machines depends not only on the brand, but also on the country of assembly. For those who pay attention to the place of production of equipment, we inform you that the company has factories in Germany, Spain, Portugal, Turkey and other countries – so specify the country of origin.
The TEKA group includes a well-known brand Kuppersbusch – It was purchased in 1999.
You can see all the company’s products available to our consumers on the official website.
Overview of models and consumer reviews
A feature of CMA Teka, according to the manufacturer, is maximum productivity at a minimum of costs. All machines currently available in the Teka range are built-in, front-loading and with a drum capacity of 7 or 8 kg. The tanks are made of stainless steel, which means that the washers of this brand are distinguished by increased reliability and durability. True, a steel tank significantly affects the cost of machines, analogues with plastic tanks are cheaper. But when it comes to long years of service, the price fades into the background.
LI5 1080 – high energy class

Either the Teka washing machines are so good, or their owners are not fond of writing reviews, but we could not find any complaints about this model. Some consumers definitely speak positively about the work of the German typewriter, others promise to write reviews later – you need to watch the washer.
LSI5 1480 EXP – Dry
This is a built-in CMA that can be placed in a kitchen cabinet or stand alone. The device is equipped with a dryer with two programs – the laundry is dry after washing, there is no need to dry it on the balcony. On the panel – touch control, an option for those who do not like the usual buttons. The diameter of the hatch is standard, 30 cm is enough to push large things into the drum without any problems.
- Capacity: 8 kg.
- Drum capacity: 56 l.
- Water consumption: 118 liters per cycle.
- Drying: up to 5 kg.

- There is a 24-hour timer. Thanks to it, the machine will turn on at the time that you set on the timer.
- Stainless steel drum. It has a special perforation that allows the linen to glide smoothly over its surface without the risk of mechanical damage.
- Spacious – the volume of the drum is enough for washing in a large family.
- Lots of useful apps. There is an economical wash at 20 ° C, a special program for T-shirts, an express wash in 14 minutes.
- Informative indicators on the control panel – show how much time is left before the end of the cycle, drying time, the weight of the laundry in the drum and the level of soiling.
- Legs – front and rear, adjustable.
- There is a button – skip spin.
- Quiet work.
- The door is equipped with an automatic lock.
The owners of the brand, despite the limited range – there are only 4 models on the market, considered it necessary to create a version with drying. This washing machine will become a real mini-laundry. And most importantly, for high German quality – the price is quite pleasant.
Another built-in SMA, which differs from the previous ones in a lower load and the presence of mechanical control buttons. In all other respects, it is extremely similar to the other three Teka washers.

- Noise level (wash/spin): 56/72 dB.
- Dimensions (WxDxH): 60x56x82 cm.
Advantages:
- Large range for selecting the spin speed – from 1400 to 600 rpm.
- Informative display and indicators. They show the time until the end of the cycle, the set temperature, the spin speed, the delayed start, the extra rinse.
- Water consumption is regulated automatically.
- The door is blocked. There is a delay for unlocking the door.
- Low noise.
The main difference of LI4 1470 E is the price. This version is 1,5–2 times more expensive than other Teka machines. Also, a number of sources indicate that this model has reversible doors. That is, they can be moved to the other side. There is no information about this on the manufacturer’s website, therefore, when buying SMA, check this point with consultants. Such a trifle as the side of the door opening can be very important when installing the machine in the house.
Conclusions
Summing up:
- The tanks in the Teka CMA are made of high quality stainless steel, which is characterized by an unparalleled long service life, chemical resistance and strength. Such steel serves 100 years. However, the service life of the most expensive and high-quality machine is several times less.
- The company provides after-sales service, in order to find the nearest service center, it is suggested to contact the company representatives by phone.
- On the company’s website, you can download Russian-language instructions for each model.
- SMA “Teka” adequately represent the German quality, but they are not very popular among our consumers. The reasons are little known, high cost (although there are more expensive brands), limited assortment, modest and uniform design.
- Teka washing machines belong to the middle price category. This brand does not have budget versions like Bosch, and there are no premium versions like Honey, – all models of approximately “one flight” are solid German technology at a moderate cost.
If you need a washing machine, and not for the sake of “space design”, take the Teka washing machine. This worker is modest in appearance, but solid inside – the embodiment of German order, solidity and aesthetic restraint.
