Teeth whitening with a banana peel is a well-known way to deal with tooth discoloration. However, it is not entirely clear whether this is just a myth spread on the Internet, or whether this method is actually proven and its results verifiable. It seems, however, that bananas, which are rich in nutrients, vitamins and micro- and macroelements, can also have a whitening effect.
What properties do bananas have?

Why do bananas whiten teeth?

Dentists and dentists have different views on effectiveness teeth whitening using a banana peel. Some of them claim that it is a healthy way to whiten teeth. Others say that it is absolutely impossible, and the only way to whiten your teeth is whitening in a dentist’s office under the supervision of a doctor. Other dentists note that although banana peel teeth whitening has not been medically proven, many patients do have visible success in this field: their teeth become whiter without harming the enamel.
Is Banana Teeth Whitening Really Safe?
This method is completely safe! This method is even safer than bleaching with specifics intended for this purpose, because bananas do not contain any dangerous compounds in high concentrations. They whiten teeth naturally, and are also a source of many nutrients we need.
How to whiten your teeth?
To whiten your teeth with a banana its skin will be needed. It must be a fully ripe banana, i.e. with a very yellow skin, it cannot be green or slightly green. First, we brush our teeth thoroughly using a toothbrush and the same toothpaste as always. Then rub the banana peel from its inner part on the teeth for a few minutes.
We repeat this process twice a day: in the morning and in the evening. We whiten the teeth until a satisfactory effect is obtained.
If the discoloration is very strong or tartar remains on the teeth, the activities should be repeated more often or for longer. Discolorations may then go down much longer and more slowly, you will have to wait even a few weeks for the effects. In the case of healthy but yellow teeth, the first effects will be visible within the next few days of using the whitening treatment.
