Teeth whitening treatment at the dentist’s office allows you to effectively whiten your teeth by a few or even a dozen or so shades. For many people, the price of teeth whitening in the office may be an obstacle. How much does whitening with each method actually cost? Is it worth saving and whitening teeth at home?

Teeth whitening – is the procedure profitable?

Teeth whitening in a dentist’s office is expensive, which is why many people choose home alternatives. Whitening strips, overlays or toothpastes are much cheaper than dental services. However, you should take into account the risk of using such products on your own, especially in the case of untreated teeth, exposed necks or hypersensitivity. Home whitening is not always effective, and in the case of dead teeth – impossible.

Za whitening paste, whose task is to remove deposits and whiten teeth, we will pay about 10-50 PLN for a tube. The price of some professional toothpastes can reach up to PLN 80. The effectiveness of whitening toothpastes is confirmed when they are used after an in-office tooth whitening treatment – then they maintain the effect. Whitening stripes soaked in a special preparation, they cost about PLN 20 to PLN 90, require application for nearly two weeks and lighten the enamel by two or three shades.

There are home methods of teeth whitening, similar to the office method overlays with whitening gel. Although more effective than strips, shop-bought trays are one size and do not fit individually to the shape of your teeth. This increases the risk of irritation. The cost of such overlays is about PLN 100 for 10 overlays.

When it comes to teeth whitening, it is worth using special brushes. Try, for example, the sonic toothbrush with the Vitammy Pearl + whitening function, which thoroughly cleans the teeth and improves their color. Additionally, use Perlax whitening and antibacterial toothpaste.
