Tea syrup: 2 recipes at home

For all tea lovers, Whisk prepared a couple of interesting tea syrup recipes.

An unusual craft ingredient will surely surprise you and your guests.

Easy tea syrup recipe

Ingredients

  1. Water – 1 cup

  2. Sugar – 1 cup

  3. Whole leaf tea – 4 tbsp. l.

Method of preparation

  1. Heat water in a saucepan. The temperature the water needs to reach will depend on which tea you are using.

  2. Remove from heat and add tea, leave for about 5 minutes.

  3. Strain the infusion from the tea leaves and bring the pot of tea to a slow boil.

  4. Add sugar to the pan, cook until it is completely dissolved.

  5. Remove from fire. Let stand at room temperature until chilled, about 1 hour before chilling. The syrup is ready!

Alternative tea syrup recipe 

Ingredients

  1. Favorite tea – 25 g

  2. Sugars – 670 g

  3. Cloves – 0,8 g

  4. Citric acid – 1 g

  5. Water – 670 ml

Method of preparation

  1. Brew 25 grams of tea in 150 ml of boiling water and let it brew. Then we filter the tea through a strainer so that there is no tea left.

  2. We take a clove, grind it and pour it with boiling water. We take 20 ml of boiling water for our 0,8 g of cloves. Bring the water with cloves back to a boil, then remove from heat and strain.

  3. Next, take citric acid and pour warm water (20 ml). We stir so that the acid dissolves in water, and pour this solution into the one that we got from water and cloves.

  4. Separately, cook sugar syrup (sugar and water 1 to 1). When the sugar syrup is ready, add to it a solution obtained from cloves and citric acid, as well as our brewed tea.

  5. We mix everything and get tea syrup.
