Tanno Hermal is available in two variants – liquid and cream. Both are intended for use in the case of inflammatory, oozing and itchy skin lesions. However, they differ in composition. Therefore, it is worth reading the Tanno Hermal leaflet.

Tanno hermal – indications for use

Tanno hermal is a medical device that can be used by people of all ages. It can also be used by pregnant and breastfeeding women. It is available in two forms: Tanno Hermal in the form of a liquid and also in the form of a cream. The preparations can be purchased in pharmacies. The price of Tanno Hermal is about PLN 20.

Tanno Hermal Lotio in liquid is indicated for:

  1. discharge from wounds resulting from inflammatory skin lesions,
  2. oozing and itchy rashes
  3. diaper dermatitis,
  4. excessive sweating
  5. labial herpes,
  6. chicken pox,
  7. shingles,
  8. skin changes in skin folds,

Tanno Hermal cream, in turn, is used for:

  1. in inflammatory and itchy skin as a strengthening of the epidermal barrier,
  2. atopic dermatitis,
  3. hand eczema,
  4. skin changes occurring around the intimate groin area, on the face and in skin folds,
  5. skin rash
  6. diaper dermatitis.

Tanno Hermal – action

The action of both Tanno Hermal preparations is identical. Both the liquid and the cream:

  1. have a drying effect on skin lesions and strengthen the epidermal barrier thanks to the synthetic tannin they contain and its astringent physicochemical properties,
  2. thanks to tannin, they create a protective barrier on skin lesions,
  3. inhibit the spread of skin infections,
  4. reduce irritation and the feeling of sting,
  5. moisturize the surface of infected skin,
  6. accelerate skin regeneration.

Tanno Hermal – composition

Tanno Hermal liquid ingredients are talc, zinc oxide, synthetic tannin (1 g), purified water, glycerol 85%, hostaphat KW 340 N, isopropyl alcohol, colloidal silicon dioxide solution, methyl para-hydroxybenzoate, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, lecithin, sodium salt of carrageenan.

The Tanno Hermal cream consists of: tannin (1 g), water, stearyl alcohol stearate oxidized with 5 moles of ethylene oxide, cetyl alcohol, lauryl alcohol ethoxylated with 10 moles of ethylene oxide, propylene glycol, stearyl alcohol ethoxylated with 2 moles of ethylene oxide, palmitic acid, isopropyl myristate, phenoxyethanol, stearic acid, phenyl dimethicone, macrogol stearyl ether, dimethicone.

Tanno Hermal – dosage

Tanno Hermal in both forms should be used externally, applying a thin layer of the preparation directly to the skin lesions 1-2 times a day. More frequent use is possible for severe symptoms. Use should be discontinued with the disappearance of skin lesions – usually it takes 1-2 weeks. If the use of Tanno Hermal does not bring any effects for a long time, consult a doctor.

Before using Tanno Hermal Lotio, shake the bottle well. In the treatment of excessive sweating, therapy may last for several weeks.

Tanno Hermal – contraindications

Tanno Hermal cream or liquid preparations should not be used in the case of:

  1. hypersensitivity to any substance, as well as soy and peanuts,
  2. the expiry of their use-by date,
  3. 6 months from the first opening of the package.

When using Tanno Hermal cream or liquid, avoid the eye area and hairy parts of the skin.

Tanno Hermal – side effects

When using Tanno Hermal, undesirable effects may occur, such as:

  1. skin hypersensitivity in the form of burning, redness or itching,
  2. hives
  3. allergic reactions to lecithin (Tanno Hermal Lotio),
  4. bronchospasms
  5. skin irritations in a mild form.
