When we take care of nature, we take care of ourselves. This well-known philosophical thought receives unexpected practical confirmation.

Today, we have less and less chances to see amazing natural landscapes. We love to send each other pictures with flowering fields, without thinking about whether what is depicted on them exists. For example, entire fields of yellow arnica in the Carpathians could disappear due to the uncontrolled collection of this plant for the production of cosmetics and medicines. In 2005, the WWF Wildlife Fund, together with Weleda, took up the task of saving arnica and over the years restored 20 species listed in the Red Book *. One of the sources of inspiration for the company’s environmental activities is the philosopher Rudolf Steiner, who believed that a person should feel part of the universe and take care of it as if he were himself**.
