The Synton program is based on a personal-active approach, elements of a cognitive-behavioral and humanistic approach are used. The synton program contains modern developments of domestic psychologists in the field of active forms of education, psychotechnics and psychogymnastics.
The main tone of classes at Sinton is a free, positive and constructive atmosphere, respect for the individual, encouragement of discussions and independent thinking. Empty chatter, negativism and the position of the victim are not welcome in Sinton.
The synton program is not only a psychological, but also a pedagogical and educational program. In this regard, the Synton program is built on the basis of the traditional, basic principles of the classical tradition of domestic and world pedagogy, while using both modern experience and its own, exceptionally rich arsenal of methodological developments. Twenty-five years of research experience has made Sinton a leader in the field of personal training methods.
Each cycle of the Synton program at the methodological level is, based on the goal and objectives, a combination of thematic lectures, psychotechnical exercises, analysis of specific life situations, group discussions, role-playing and story games, elements of auto-training, etc. Most of the psychological games and exercises in Synton programs are original or adapted to the style and content of the educational process. Each session of the Synton program has a script that includes instructions for conducting games and exercises, a discussion algorithm and comments — recommendations for the facilitator.
Methodically, trainings for the Synton program are built along several main lines, namely:
- content line,
- Line speaker and modalities,
- physical line of occupation,
- Spatial line of occupation,
- Summing up line.
In the didactic construction of training sessions, the Sinton program proceeds from the basic principles of the classical tradition of domestic and world pedagogy. Most trainings in Sinton are built according to the following sequential scheme:
- Statement of the problem: as a rule, not theoretical, but through a lively personal perplexity.
- Role-playing and living the situation: increases the number of questions, but also provides material for some answers.
- Comprehension and analysis of what happened: the task is to get away from theorizing “in general” and focus on real practical conclusions or tasks
- Setting learning objectives: goal “what we want to achieve”, action plan
- Development of the necessary skills in games, discussions and exercises: in the main classes with the leader and additional «home» meetings under the guidance of specially trained assistants — curators
- An extension to the future: where and how will I use it?
- Orientation to fixing in life: a system of homework with additional exercises
