Symptoms of chronic bronchitis and emphysema (COPD)
Chronic bronchitis
- A fatty cough accentuated upon getting up and going to bed, commonly referred to as “smoker’s cough”. Changing position causes secretions to move, which stimulates coughing;
- Sputum of whitish mucus ;
- Sometimes vomiting to dizziness, caused by cough;
- Frequent respiratory infections. At this point, the mucus becomes yellowish or greenish;
- At an advanced stage of the disease, a breathless, swelling of the legs and blueness of the skin and lips.
Emphysema
- Un breathless and a feeling ofbreathlessness which gradually gets worse;
- A wheezing ;
- A feeling ofoppression in the chest;
- Un emaciation important.
