Sweets that don’t make you fat

Refusing desserts for fear of ruining your figure? But in vain! There are many products that, if not overused, will not result in excess weight.

Psychologists say that sweet is one of the sources of pleasure and without it life becomes boring and dull. Everyone loves sweets, and even slender models indulge themselves with desserts. And nutritionists unanimously recommend not to completely exclude delicacies from the diet, but replace them with healthy and natural products. And don’t forget: it’s about quality, not quantity.

The most favorite sweetness of childhood is chocolate, but many adults cannot refuse it either. Don’t panic! One tenth of a tile (this is about 10-15 g) can be used even by those who are on a diet. The bar with a higher percentage of cocoa is considered more useful. Chocolate has healing properties: it improves memory and can even relieve headaches.

The main ingredient in this dessert is whipped egg whites and sugar. Some recipes substitute applesauce for sugar. Therefore, it is believed that marshmallows and marshmallows can be eaten while on a weight loss diet, up to about 100 g per day in the morning. But you need to choose sweets without chocolate glaze, filling and without dyes. By the way, marshmallows can be made at home – completely natural and to your liking.

Do not be surprised, but milkshakes do not harm a slim figure. Of course, not all, only those made with skim milk and no syrup added. Ideally, add chopped fresh unsweetened fruits such as apples or kiwi to your shake. You can diversify the taste and speed up the metabolism with the help of spices – cinnamon, nutmeg, saffron, turmeric, ginger, cardamom.

It is important that the dessert is made from natural juice of unsweetened fruits or berries – an additional source of vitamins and minerals. And the calorie content will be small. Gelatin gives the dessert a jelly-like consistency, and this, by the way, is natural collagen, which carries a lot of benefits for beauty and health. In addition, jelly desserts are easily absorbed by the body and improve the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract. So one serving of jelly or pudding won’t hurt, but avoid sweets that are brightly colored with artificial colors.

If you choose between sweets, then we advise you to stay on marmalade. It is not for nothing that marmalade is allowed even for patients with diabetes mellitus. Just look at the ingredients: applesauce, gelatin, pectin, and fructose. There should be no sugar in the composition. But still, marmalade does not belong to low-calorie sweets, and you can eat just a couple of candies a day without risk. Also, the composition should contain only natural ingredients.

Honey is not the lowest calorie product, it still contains enough sugar. But nutritionists believe that it is much healthier than regular sugar. The main thing is not to abuse it: no more than 50 g per day. In the morning, you can add a teaspoon to the porridge; if there is no opportunity to have a snack, and honey is at hand, then a spoonful of honey will relieve hunger for a while. But it is better not to add it to hot tea or milk, the beneficial properties will be lost. Honey is also an excellent antidepressant. So, if you really want something sweet, a spoonful of honey will help you.

Natural berries, fruits or zest cooked in sugar syrup contain many useful vitamins and macronutrients. Natural sweets with a rich taste, which is so lacking during a diet. Today candied fruits are made not only from citrus fruits, but also apples, pears, carrots, pumpkins and all other exotic fruits. But do not forget that candied fruits are not only dried fruits with a concentrated amount of sugar, but also cooked in syrup. Therefore, it is allowed only in the morning in an amount of no more than 50 g – this is about a couple of pieces.

Marzipan is made up of crushed almonds, sugar, and proteins. The composition is not the most dietary, frankly, but you can’t eat a lot of marzipan – the sweetness has too rich taste and dense texture. But everyone knows how much is useful in nuts, for example vitamin E. Therefore, sometimes you can pamper yourself with the exquisite taste of a marzipan figurine. But not more than 50 g per day.

Several pieces of dried fruits made from prunes, figs, dried apricots, apples and pears are well suited as snacks for the main meals. They contain a lot of fiber, vitamins and minerals. This is a healthy alternative to candy and cookies, which are unhealthy fast carbs that easily convert into body fat.

Losing weight on a note

An ideal dessert for those on a diet is a curd casserole. You can add a handful of raisins, a spoonful of agave syrup, or a little stevia, or mashed banana as a sweetener – ideally if it ripens to the speckled stage. And instead of flour, add two tablespoons of semolina to the dough and let the dough stand for a while so that the semolina swells. Well, or take not white wheat flour, but, for example, rice flour – the usefulness of the casserole will increase significantly.

Any sweets are best eaten in the morning – before 15:00. In the evening, it is better to have dinner without desserts.

Do not scold yourself if you have eaten an extra piece of cake! Stress affects your figure much worse than sweets.

Don’t substitute sweets for a full meal. Coffee and candy is not a lunch or a snack. If you can’t do without dessert, eat a small portion of the sweet after the main one.
