Sweat stains on white clothes – how to get rid of them

Sweat stains on white clothes – how to get rid of them

Summer, heat, unpleasant yellow marks on the armpits of your favorite blouse. No, the last point is definitely superfluous here.

Sweat stains on clothes – they’re not really sweat stains. Unpleasant yellow marks remain as a result of the interaction of antiperspirants, which contain aluminum, with our body. By the way, doctors hint that deodorants with aluminum are not the most useful thing, but without this trace element the antiperspirant will be ineffective.

When washing in a machine, even at the highest temperature conditions, these stains for some reason remain in place. Is it really forever? No. It turns out that there are ways to revive your favorite white thing. And you don’t need expensive bleaches for this. The usual tools that you already have in your kitchen are enough.

Laundry soap, hydrogen peroxide, soda, vinegar and salt do an excellent job with yellowness on the fabric. We will tell you what to mix and what to bring back the life of the white shirt.

1 method

Your main assistant is soap. The usual household. Despite its not very pleasant aroma and dubious color, it will perfectly cope with sweat marks. It is necessary to soak the item in soap and water and wash it as usual after 15 minutes. The spots will disappear before your eyes, but only if they are fresh.

2 method

No less effective is the following composition: mix three tablespoons of liquid soap with soda and salt – a tablespoon each. Apply the mixture to the stain, keep it on for half an hour, and then wash it as usual.

3 method

Another option is soda with the addition of water. We dilute the soda with water so that we get a gruel, spread the stain with the mixture, wait 15 minutes and send the thing to the wash.

4 method

We take hydrogen peroxide, pour it into a spray bottle for flowers or any other bottle with a spray bottle. We spray yellow spots and leave the thing to “marinate” for 15 minutes. After washing, it will be as good as new.

5 method

If the stain is old, you can use gasoline or ammonia. You need to wipe the stains with them, then rinse the clothes in warm water and soap.

6 method

The salt will help remove the stain. To do this, you need to prepare a solution – dissolve a tablespoon of salt in a tablespoon of water. Moisten a cotton pad and wipe off the dirt. Then rinse the item in warm water. The method is suitable for clothes made of wool, silk.

7 method

We are using heavy artillery. First, dilute the vinegar in warm water in a ratio of one to two. Soak the shirt in this solution for at least 20 minutes. Then we mix half a glass of baking soda with a tablespoon of salt and a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide. Stir everything into a paste. We take out the shirt from the vinegar, wring it out and smear the armpits with soda paste. We leave for another 20 minutes. After that, we shake off the excess soda from the fabric and send the thing to the wash.

The choice of method must be approached carefully so as not to spoil the thing even more. You can try applying your chosen product to the wrong side of the garment. So the thing will be saved from damage. If there is no reaction, the method can be safely used. If you choose the right bleaching method, you can restore the original appearance of your clothes.

If all this fails, there is only one thing left. We’ll have to resort to the old method – boiling, or boiling. Important – it can only be applied to natural cotton clothing. Things made from other materials will not survive such execution, they will only have to be thrown away.

So, the recipe for the whitening procedure is as follows. Pour water into a large saucepan, add soap, planed into small pieces or grated, put the thing in the solution and put the pan on fire. It takes 2-3 hours to boil this hellish soup. After that, all that remains is to wash your clothes as usual with the addition of conditioner.

By the way

Another problem that often overtakes lovers of white things is rust. It is worth washing the shirt along with the thing that has metal decor or buttons, and hanging it up immediately, as rusty spots immediately begin to creep. The author of Wday.ru tried the best ways to get rid of this scourge on himself, and yet he could – the rust was gone! How she did it – read the link.
