Types of Suzdal mead

On an industrial scale, the drink is produced by a local specialized enterprise called the Suzdal honey plant. The range of mead brands produced here is very solid. The names of the proposed varieties of the drink also attract attention, which emphasize its original patriarchal character.

Among them are brands such as:

  1. Two hryvnia

    This is the same classic (basic) drink, consisting of the same great four: honey, sugar, water and yeast. The color is light yellow, like beer. Short shelf life – only 4 months (120 days). The fortress is 4,8 – 5,8%.

  2. Pyatialtynnaya

    Instead of sugar, malt is added to this drink; in addition, it has a relatively short fermentation period. The fortress is 5%.

  3. Half-and-half

    It is characterized by the addition of hops and sweet clover; brewer’s yeast is also used in its manufacture. Calms and gives strength. The fortress is 7,8 – 8,3%.

  4. Streletskaya

    Classic tender mead with a hint of rose hips. The fortress is 5%.

  5. Oprichnaya

    It differs from other types of mead by adding spices (cloves, ginger, cinnamon) to the original recipe. The fortress is 5,3%.

  6. Cossack

    Mead with juniper and pepper. It has a pleasant taste and smell. The fortress is 5,5%.
