The Ministry of Health assumed that every patient suspected of being infected with the coronavirus would come to the GP surgery. In the era of teleporting, it is not a good idea, because the patient could have a test ordered over the phone. And in this direction we were going, explained Dr. Michał Sutkowski, president of Warsaw Family Doctors, who was a guest of Tomasz Sekielski in the “OnetRano” program.
– The Ministry of Health presented a new schedule for the fall, which was not approved by the college of family doctors. The postulates of the college of family doctors and the community were neither heard nor accepted. We talked about an important postulate for us, about testing and teleportation, but we had some other important matters to be agreed with the minister – explained Dr. Sutkowski.
As the guest of the “Onet Rano” program added, only a partial agreement was reached during the negotiations. – Previously, the Ministry of Health assumed that every patient suspected of being infected with the coronavirus would come to a GP surgery. – The minister suggested that referral for a test via teleportation could only be possible with a total of four criteria: fever, runny nose, shortness of breath and disturbed taste and smell – he explained. He also added. that it is a compromise solution that has been agreed for a period of three weeks.
– We want to return to the minister to reflect on the way of working with patients. Because many patients can infect others in the clinic or in transport, on the way to the family doctor – said Sutkowski. – Until now, tents in front of hospitals were not without reason. Previously, the Ministry said: you have COVID-19 – stay home, now: you have COVID-19, go to your GP. The dissonance is great. We are after the talks. Okay, there is a compromise, but the talks must continue.
