Candidate of Biological Sciences Ekaterina Baranova on the air of the TV channel “Russia 1” spoke about the consequences of touching the parsley and celery growing in the beds.
“The chemical burn caused by the hogweed plant is similarly caused by these two plants: celery and parsley. Celery is extremely dangerous, it burns very, very severe. We often do not pay attention, and meanwhile, celery causes pigmentation disorders and severe burns, perhaps as often as cow parsnip, it just gets a little, ”said the biologist.
In addition to these plants, Ekaterina Baranova also called the caustic buttercup extremely dangerous. Its juice or hay can cause blindness if it gets into the eyes.
It is better not to collect some beautiful flowers in the field.
Also, the candidate of biological sciences said that a burn from a cow parsnip is extremely dangerous. When in contact with a plant, it is necessary to cover the place of contact with a dark cloth and avoid exposure to sunlight for at least 48 hours.
