Wildflowers
A bouquet of wildflowers does not require the skill of a florist from you. The more different colors – the more beautiful it is. Feel free to combine chamomiles, cornflowers, forget-me-nots, bells, Turkish carnations, buttercups and “porridge” in a rainbow and fragrant composition. For a bright spot, you can add orange marigolds (calendula). Long blades of grass will look beautiful in the center. To frame all this beauty, a ceramic vase, for example, a white one with a Gzhel ornament, is best suited.
How to save: To help the wildflowers last longer, remove leaves from the stems that get under the water. Change the water daily and discard the faded specimens.

This gorgeous June flower doesn’t need any addition. It is beautiful in itself. But if you really want to, you can add openwork asparagus or gypsophila to the bouquet of peonies. Peonies are very convenient flowers: unblown buds, previously wrapped in paper, can be stored for a long time in the refrigerator. And when the time comes to give a bouquet, just take it out of the fridge. If you want a tight peony bud to bloom right in front of your eyes, put the flower in hot water.
How to save: flowers cut at the bud stage remain in the vase for an average of 10 days. To prolong the life of peonies, add a teaspoon of granulated sugar and 0,5 teaspoon of citric acid to the water.
Alstroemeria is a real lifesaver. This flower will easily “amuse” any bouquet with its variegated color, but it can also perform in a solo part. Alstroemeria is white, pink, peach, bright orange, yellow, red, purple with a mandatory speck. Despite its exotic appearance and external resemblance to an orchid, this flower is very persistent and does not need special care. Just keep in mind that alstroemeria does not smell.
How to save: Alstroemeria will stay in a vase for 14 days, or even more, delighting you with new opening flowers and green leaves that do not fade, even if you forget to change the water every day.
One of the most impressive summer flowers. Terry hats in a wide variety of shades (white, pink, cream, yellow, blue, purple and red) are prized for their strong sweet aroma that intensifies in the evening. So if you want to surprise someone with a bouquet, choose Levka.
How to save: In order to put it in a vase, they usually do not cut it off, but pull it out entirely along with the root, shake off the soil, cut off the lower leaves, and wash the roots. In this form, with frequent water changes, the flowers do not lose their decorative effect longer, remaining fresh in room conditions for up to 12 days. However, if you bought stems without roots – no problem, just change the water every day – and the honey scent of your home is guaranteed for a week.
A single piece of decorative sunflower can replace a whole bouquet and cheer you up. When choosing the “sun” on a green stem, pay attention first of all not to flowers, but to leaves – to their color and degree of damage. The fresher it is, the longer the sunflower will live in the vase. Choose open buds, but make sure that the flowers in the center are dense, without stamens and pollen. Due to the severity of the sunflower, it needs a tall vase with a wide bottom to keep the flowers from breaking and falling.
How to save: Remove any leaves that may be underwater and cut off the stems at an angle. Change the water every two days and prune the stems. With proper care, a sunflower in a vase will last from 6 to 12 days.
