Syn.: Mallorca acne, acne aestivalis.

Def .: Acne-like rash that occurs in summer.

Etiol .: Hair follicle hypersensitivity to light.

Loc .: The outer surfaces of the arms, cleavage, face, back.

Clinical: Mono-morphic eruptions: small, reddish, calloused follicular papules, no blackheads or pustules.

Hist .: Hyperkeratotic plugs in the follicles.

DR: Follicular keratosis.

Healing: Topical: tretinoin, benzoyl peroxide.

Year: Resolves without scarring, a tendency to relapse.
