Children’s festivals at altitude
In Moirans-en-Montagne (39), from July 12 to 15
In the Jura, the 31st edition of the Idéklic festival, in Moirans-en-Montagne and on other sites of Terre d’Émeraude, famous nature in all its forms ! Multi-sensory shows, ecological fables, workshops for all ages: our children will be able to discover plants, animals and minerals in detail!
In Guillestre (05), from August 17 to 20
230 kilometers further south, at Guillestre, in the Hautes-Alpes, it’s the Potes de Marmot’s festival that is in charge of entertaining our children! From August 17 to 20, the city turns into huge playground thanks to fifteen artistic companies and diverse workshops. With an all-season sled for the older ones, or a discovery of the territory and its crafts for the younger ones.
Au Grand Bornand (74), from August 23 to 27
Finally at Grand Bornand, in Haute-Savoie, is being held from 23 to 27 August on theater festival To the happiness of the Kids. The theme for 2021? Puppets and object theaters! After an edition canceled in 2020, the festival is being organized this summer on a smaller scale, but still manages to accommodate 35 theater companies for a hundred performances (instead of the usual 450).
Artistic awakening and digital arts in the East
In Metz (57), from July 1 to September 4
À Metz, the Constellations festival dedicated digital arts returns from July 1 to September 4. While it is aimed at slightly older children, the night course starting at 22 p.m., many artistic creations will amaze young and old alike! Have fun pulling the strings of the interactive cloud with 6 recycled light bulbs on the Place de l’Opéra, or sit down to admire the breathtaking video-mapping projected on the Metz cathedral.
In Montbéliard (25), from August 26 to 29
The Festival des Mômes, at Montbéliard, adapts to the epidemic and becomes La Récré des Mômes for the summer! Theater and street shows, creative workshops, fun spaces: many activities are available for children, from 18 months to 13 years old ! The festival takes place in Franche-Comté from August 26 to 29.
By the water, to the rhythm of the kids
Throughout Brittany, from July 4 to August 27
Since 1997, the traveling festival Place aux Mômes has crossed the Britain and offers fun shows for children in 23 seaside resorts in the region! Once again this year, 119 shows animate the region and introduce our little ones to the arts of the street, from July 4 to August 27.
In Avignon (84), from July 5 to 25
At the same time as the essential Avignon festival, one of the most important theater and performing arts events in the world, the OFF festival offers, along the Rhône, many shows for children, puppets, musical theater, dance or contemporary circus ! They are spread out between July 5 and July 25.
In Angers (49), July 21 and 22
Loire side, at Angers, the Fun’Kids festival makes our little ones take off! For its second edition, this open-air festival for 3 to 6 year olds is being held on July 21 and 22. The Parc du Hutreau is getting ready to overflow with events, workshops and concerts, on the theme of time travel.
In Paris, theater and music for children

From July 3 to 25, La Villette becomes Little Villette! Shows from 9 months, 3 years or 10 years old, circus or Napoleon workshops, walk with the animals of the Tiligolo Farm: your child will inevitably find a activity adapted to their age and tastes during the month of July at Parc de la Villette.
In Paris (75019), from July 7 to August 31
L’Été des p’tits futés returns from July 7 to August 31 at Darius Mihaud theater, in the 19th arrondissement from Paris. For its fifteenth edition, the theater festival sets off, thanks to a dozen different pieces, to discover ancestral or modern tales and stories, coming from the four corners of the globe!
