For many people, it is an expression of a desire to escape from the accumulating problems, and often it is only a cry for help. Suicidal thoughts can appear at any stage in our lives and affect any age group.
People live under tremendous stress these days. Due to the pace of life and numerous problems, some people have thoughts of suicide. They are not always dangerous and not every person will attempt suicide. However, thoughts of suicide should never be taken lightly. How to help the person who will appear?
Suicidal thoughts – causes
The reasons for the appearance of suicidal thoughts may be related to the loss of a loved one or to a huge material loss. In such situations, many people feel overwhelmed by the situation and cannot cope with it. Suicidal thoughts can also be the result of difficult crisis situations that cannot be resolved. Suicidal thoughts usually appear in people who cannot cope with difficult and stressful situations.
Another category of causes of suicidal thoughts is mental disorders. These can be anxiety disorders, personality disorders, addictions.

Such people can be in a very good mood, and then go into a state of sadness, or even depression. When the patient is in this condition, suicidal thoughts may appear, which are highly dangerous.

It is very important to understand the emotions and experiences that have triggered your suicidal thoughts. Relatives should support and avoid judging such a person. The main thing is to convince a person with suicidal thoughts to see a specialist.
If a person has only suicidal thoughts and has not attempted or even planned a suicide attempt, hospitalization is not necessary. First of all, you should talk to such a person about the need to seek help from a psychiatrist or psychologist.
Unfortunately, if a given person wishes to attempt suicide, it is necessary to call a doctor who will determine whether the patient should be hospitalized.
