Succulent flowers: reproduction

Succulent flowers are a great alternative to common houseplants. Such cultures are unpretentious in nature, and caring for them does not take much time. Moreover, the flowers are quite decorative and fit into any interior.

A feature of these plants is the ability to accumulate moisture in their leaves. Thanks to this, caring for succulents is a pleasure. After all, crops do not need frequent and abundant watering. In addition, they tolerate any temperature fluctuations and do without additional fertilizing and fertilizers.

Beautiful compositions are created from the flowers of succulents

There are many varieties of succulents, and each of them deserves special attention. But among domestic florists, the following are especially popular:

  • agave;
  • adenium;
  • aichrizon;
  • aloe;
  • zamiokulkas;
  • Kalanchoe;
  • ragwort;
  • lithops;
  • spurge;
  • sedum.

All these plants differ in appearance. But at the same time they have one thing in common: they practically do not need attention and feel great without interference from the grower.

Growing such plants is a fairly simple process, which a novice florist can also handle. You can propagate succulents in the following ways:

  • Cuttings. Choose a strong stalk and carefully cut it away from the main plant. Don’t forget to charcoal the cut. Dry the plant at room temperature for 2-3 days. It is advisable to treat the root system with “Epin” or another growth stimulator. Root the cutting in fine-grained sand to a depth of 15-20 mm and slightly moisten the soil. Place the pot in a warm, bright place. Water the plant once a week with warm, settled water. You can transplant a culture to a permanent place when it grows enough roots.
  • Reproduction by a sheet. Pick the strongest leaf and cut it off with sharp scissors. Let it sit for a couple of days on the soil where you are going to plant it. There is no need to water the soil at this time. Turn the leaf with the cut down and lightly spray the soil with a spray bottle. Until the plant takes root, it is sometimes advisable to moderately moisturize the soil.

If you want to grow a beautiful flower arrangement and you do not have time for constant plant care, then pay attention to succulents. These cultures do not require attention to themselves, while their decorativeness argues with many capricious representatives of the flora.
