😉 Hello everyone! Thank you for choosing the article “Succinic acid: medicinal properties and application” on this site!

Succinic acid: what is it

Amber in everyday life has always been in a special position: it was more often treated than decorated with it. “Sun stone” relieved goiter (thyroid hyperplasia). He treated rheumatism, arthrosis, kidney and nervous system diseases, intestinal disorders and inflammations of various nature.

Succinic acid: medicinal properties and applications

Healers “prescribed” amber to accelerate the healing of fractures, to overcome the “angina pectoris”, to protect against seasonal colds … Why is amber known as the most powerful “doctor” among gems? His secret was revealed not so long ago. It lies in succinic acid – an organic compound of the carboxyl group.

In appearance, these are transparent crystals that can dissolve in alcohol and water. They are present in small quantities in apples, gooseberries and grapes, brewer’s yeast and fermented milk drinks, and some seeds.

But only amber is really rich in succinic acid. This explains its phenomenal properties. The main function of this acid is to participate in the processes of cell respiration.

Succinic acid: medical applications

  • eliminates oxygen starvation of tissues;
  • improves vascular permeability;
  • restores the thyroid gland;
  • dissolves stones in the gallbladder;
  • heals the kidneys;
  • stimulates metabolism;
  • when applied externally, it rejuvenates the skin;
  • enhances hair growth and inhibits the appearance of gray hair.

How to get succinic acid from amber

In the pharmacy, this substance can be bought in pill form. But an acid solution prepared directly from amber has a great effect. How is it done? To do this, use untreated stones – amber crushed stone.

It is not difficult to buy it in any “amber” store, by weight. However, if you do not mind, you can extract the acid from old beads or brooches.

One hundred grams of amber is poured into 0,5 liters of vodka, corked and left for 4-5 days. This time is enough for the liquid to acquire a straw color, which means that the vodka has “drawn out” enough acid.

Drink amber infusion in the morning, in a small spoonful, adding to tea or coffee. Why only in the morning? This is a strong energetic that will provide vigor and mental alertness until the evening.

And one more caveat. This vodka infusion is not suitable for people suffering from severe hypertension, gastrointestinal ulcers and severe kidney defects. For the rest, it is a natural health and anti-aging drug.

For cosmetic purposes, the infusion is slightly added to tonics, lotions, nourishing creams, hair rinses. True, in this case, the best option is still pharmaceutical tablets, crushed into powder, since alcohol harms the skin.
