Main indications: insomnia.
In Chinese energy, this medicine is used for Empty Blood from the Liver with Empty Heat and Yang from the Liver which disturbs the Heart.
Associated symptoms : restless sleep with many dreams, palpitations, dizziness, irritability, dry mouth and throat, night sweating, red tongue.

As this formula comes in different forms and strengths, it is important to follow the manufacturer’s recommendations. Can be used long term.

The famous doctor You Zai-Jing explains this formula in these terms: “The day, our Hun (soul) resides in the eyes; at night, when the eyes are closed, the Hun returns to the Liver; when the Liver Blood is deficient, it cannot retain the Hun that escapes. People with this disorder fall asleep easily, but their sleep is disturbed by many awakenings.
History
This formula is cited in the Jin Gui Yao Lue (Indispensable formulas of the golden cabinet), written by the famous doctor Zhang Zhong Jing in the year 219 AD.
