Styling your hair with a wet look. Video
The effect of wet hair has become popular since the eighties of the last century. Currently, this method of styling is no less highly appreciated by the fair sex. “Wet” strands look stylish and appropriate not only at the party.
Choosing a styling product
In modern hairstyles, individual small strands are most often made “wet”. To create this style at home, use a special tool – a texturer. Apply it to damp hair, then let it dry naturally. To create a very light, almost imperceptible wet effect on the entire head of hair, use a special varnish after styling and combing your hair. Regardless of the wet styling product you use, it is important not to overdo it with the amount, otherwise your hair will not look wet, but dirty.
Ways to create a “wet” styling
Fans of natural cosmetics can choose folk ways to create a “wet” hairstyle for long or medium hair. To make it beautiful, it is enough to dissolve the gelatin in warm water, apply it to the hair and wait until it dries. Also try dampening your hair with a sugar solution, but be careful in summer to avoid attracting insects.
In order to create a more expressive and beautiful “wet” styling on straight or curly hair up to the shoulders and without resorting to curling or straightening, foams or gels are usually used. Apply to slightly damp hair, spreading evenly with your fingertips over the entire head of hair. Then dry your hair, you can also use a hairdryer.
After applying styling products, additionally remember curly hair with your hands along its entire length, moving from the ends to the roots. This will make the curls more pronounced.
To get a “wet” effect immediately after curling straight hair and applying gel or foam to it, use a diffuser (hairdryer attachment). If there is no diffuser, create small braids or roll the hair into small bundles, securing with hairpins. To speed up the drying of your hair, dry your hair with a regular hairdryer, without using special attachments, but only in a braided or twisted form. After that, gently dissolve them and shape the hairstyle without using a comb (if necessary, you can use only a wooden comb with wide teeth).
To make only the ends of the hair “wet”, use a special wax. With its help, you can emphasize the shape of a stylish haircut, especially if it is asymmetrical.
Owners of very curly hair can also do a “wet” hairstyle, but the hair must first be straightened, and then apply a styling product (it is better to use a gel). Blow dry your hair by pulling the ends of the strands. It is not necessary to use a comb.
