There are many recipes for potato dishes. For example, a large potato can be stuffed. At the same time, you have the opportunity to choose one of the many recipes for fillings: from salads with national flavor to various types of fish and meat.

Stuffed potatoes: inventing the filling

One of the simpler potato fillings is minced meat. Take 500 g of beef and pork each, peel the meat from films and fat, cut into several small pieces. Prepare a meat grinder, roll the meat through it, and then half the peeled onion and 100 g of white bread. Season the resulting minced meat with salt and pepper, and then stir to make it smooth. Then heat some vegetable oil in a pan and fry the minced meat until tender.

Cooking potatoes at the same time. Wash the large tuber thoroughly and, without peeling, wrap it in foil. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and place a baking sheet with potatoes in it for half an hour. When the tubers are tender, remove them from the oven, cut them lengthwise, add a little butter and fill with the sautéed minced meat.

You can also use another method of stuffing. Peel the raw potato and cut it in half. Remove the core from the resulting halves so that the potatoes turn into “bowls” for minced meat. Fill with sautéed meat, salt and bake in a greased pan for 15 minutes. This dish can be sprinkled with grated cheese on top, covered with foil so that it does not dry out during cooking.

An interesting filling can come from poultry. Finely chop 500 g chicken fillet and fry in olive oil until golden brown. Season with salt and sprinkle with ground Provençal herbs.

If you like Indian flavor, use more spices. Add chopped bell pepper and mushrooms in equal proportions to finely chopped chicken fillet. Fry the mixture in butter until tender. Then pour freshly squeezed orange juice into the pan and add no more than 1 tablespoon of ground curry. for 500 g of products. Stir the filling and simmer for 5-7 minutes.

You can use turkey meat instead of chicken

Another option is cold meat salads as a filler for ready-made baked potatoes. Slice the boiled beef or beef tongue into thin strips. Add a few chopped gherkins and a finely chopped boiled egg to the meat. Season the resulting salad with mayonnaise and 1 tsp. lemon juice. Mix everything thoroughly. Add this mixture to hot potatoes right before serving.

Take equal amounts of shrimp, mussels, squid, and small octopus. Boil seafood in salted water for 5 minutes. Peel the shrimp, remove their tails and heads. Cut the squid into thin strips, chop the octopuses into cubes. Salt the resulting mixture and simmer with the addition of sour cream for 5 minutes. For thickening, you can put no more than 1 tablespoon in the sauce. flour or starch. Add this filling to the finished potatoes.

The same kind of filling can be made from only one type of seafood. Take small boiled peeled shrimps and marinate them in freshly squeezed lemon juice for 10-15 minutes. Chop a few cilantro sprigs. Heat 100 g butter and a glass of cream in a saucepan. Then pour this mixture into a frying pan, add shrimp and cilantro, simmer for 5-7 minutes. But keep in mind that the resulting filling can be quite liquid. Stuff the cooked potatoes with shrimps, and serve the cream and cilantro as a sauce.

A very tasty and uncomplicated dish – stuffed potatoes with mushrooms. Rinse and finely chop fresh champignons or wild mushroom mixture, chop a small onion. If you don’t have fresh mushrooms, use dried or canned ones. Fry onions and mushrooms in a hot skillet for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Season the mixture with salt and pepper, add 2-3 tbsp. sour cream for 500 g of raw mushrooms. The resulting filling can also be used as an addition to potato croquettes.

Vegetable salad will be a good filling. Boil 300g green beans and medium carrots. Grind these ingredients. Add canned green peas with it. Season the mixture with mayonnaise. If desired, you can put fresh bell peppers, cut into thin strips, into the salad.

Lovers of dairy products will love the cheese filling. To do this, grate the “Russian” or “Gouda” cheese on a coarse grater. Chop the garlic finely. Mix it with cheese and mayonnaise. Fill the baked potatoes with the resulting mass. You can also use delicate curd cheese as a filling, finely chopped herbs and freshly ground pepper can be added to it.
