Strawberry “Kupchikha” grows well in sunny and slightly shaded areas

Strawberry bushes are tall, dense, trifoliate leaves are large, rich green, with a shiny surface. Up to 15 powerful peduncles are formed on one plant, on each of which 10 buds are formed. They open almost simultaneously, covering the bush with white flowers with a yellow center.

Strawberries ripen from the end of June. The fruits must be torn off, since they themselves do not fall off, but they are easily removed from the sepals. The pulp is dark red, firm and not too juicy. The berries are not deformed during harvest, they are well stored and transported. Many children are formed on the bushes, which simplifies the propagation of the variety.

  • Frost resistance. Strawberries can withstand temperatures down to –24 ° C and in the middle lane tolerate winter well without shelter. In more northern regions, it is advisable to lay spruce branches or agrofibre on the garden bed.
  • The use of berries is universal. They can be frozen, prepared for the winter in the form of compotes and jams, used in cooking, or simply eaten fresh.

Growing a plant is easy. To obtain a high-quality harvest, in addition to sufficient watering and annual feeding, it is imperative to cut off the mustache in the fall, and after 4 years, transplant the bushes to a new place.
