Strawberry liqueur – sweet, tasty, red. This is how you can describe this wonderful liqueur. The most famous representative of XuXu (Xu Xu) is a German liquor created in 1997 by the Georg Hemmeter company. The glory of the drink was brought by its unusual manufacturing technology: sugar is not used for production, and the content of strawberries in it is more than 65%.

Classic strawberry liqueur recipe

Ingredients

  1. Vodka (alcohol, cognac) – 1 liter

  2. Ripe strawberries – 1 kg

  3. Sugar – 1 kg

  4. Water – 0,5 liters

Method of preparation

  1. Sort fresh ripe strawberries, throwing out rotten fruits, wash well, remove the stalks. Berries cut into two parts.

  2. Pour the processed strawberries into an ordinary glass jar or bottle, pour vodka (other alcohol) and close the lid tightly. Alcohol at least 2-3 cm should cover the layer of berries. In the process of infusion, the level of alcohol will decrease, this is normal.

  3. Put the jar in a sunny place (on the windowsill) and stand for 14-16 days.

  4. Strain the tincture through a sieve, then filter the liquid part through three layers of gauze.

  5. Mix water and sugar in a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer for 3-5 minutes over low heat, skimming off the white foam. Then cool the syrup to room temperature.

  6. Mix strawberry infusion and sugar syrup, pour the resulting drink into bottles. Our strawberry liqueur is almost ready, to improve the taste, it remains to let it brew.

  7. Transfer the drink for 7 days to a dark place with room temperature. After aging, you can start tasting. Shelf life – up to 2 years.

XuXu Strawberry Liqueur Recipe

It is worth noting that this recipe does not claim to be the original recipe that the manufacturer puts in his bottles. But the taste of the resulting liquor is very similar to the original.

Ingredients

  1. Strawberries – 0,5 kg

  2. Vodka or alcohol (diluted to 40-45%) – 0,5 l

  3. Sugar – 250-300 g

  4. Lemon – 1 pcs.

  5. Water – 200 ml

Method of preparation

  1. We wash the strawberries, remove the stalks and cut in half (if the berries are large, then it can be quartered).

  2. We fall asleep strawberries in a liter jar and fill it with vodka or diluted. It is important that all the berries are covered with vodka. You can take more of it and pour it on the very edges of the jar. We also add the juice of half a lemon to our infusion – it will give the drink a pleasant sourness.

  3. We send the jar for 7-10 days on the windowsill, preferably with the sun. Then the infusion must be carefully drained through gauze, without squeezing the strawberries, and add sugar to the jar of berries. We cork the infusion and set it aside – we don’t need it yet.

  4. A jar of strawberries and sugar should be gently shaken a couple of times and set aside for another 2-3 days until the sugar is completely dissolved. Drain the syrup, add 200 ml of water to the jar, mix and drain the remaining syrup again.

  5. Mix strawberry infusion with syrup, pour into a jar and forget about it for another 3-5 days. During this time, the liquor will clear up and can be removed from the sediment, and then filtered.

As a result, you should get a delicious liquor of a beautiful “strawberry” color. Its strength will not exceed 15%, but the taste and aroma are simply divine. It is better to drink liquor chilled.

Recipe for strawberry liqueur with schnapps or brandy

Ingredients

  1. Strawberries – 1,5 kg

  2. Schnapps or brandy – 1 liter

  3. Sugars – 200 g

  4. Water – 200 ml

Method of preparation

  1. Mash strawberries in a jar and pour it with alcohol for 10 days.

  2. Then you need to prepare a syrup from 200 g of sugar and 200 ml of water: dissolve the sugar in water, heat and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.

  3. Cool the syrup and mix with the tincture.

  4. Pour the finished strawberry liqueur into clean bottles and cork tightly. Store in the refrigerator for up to a year.

Easy strawberry liqueur recipe

Ingredients

  1. Alcohol – 500 ml

  2. Water – 500 ml

  3. Sugars – 750 g

  4. Strawberry – 500 g

Method of preparation

  1. Wash the berries, let dry. Then knead, place in a large container, pour alcohol and leave for 15 days.

  2. Shake well every day.

  3. Carefully strain the tincture.

  4. Boil sugar syrup, let it cool to a warm state and mix with strawberry alcohol.

  5. Strain through folded cheesecloth or filter paper. Pour into bottles, store in a cool place.
