Fish is one of the most relevant foods of our gastronomy

However, why? If you do, the fish will be dry. In fact, depending on the fish, you probably don’t have to add a pinch of salt.

3. Waste half the fish

Nobody likes thorns. In fact, we understand that it can be a hassle to have to go one by one removing them. Removing them is a good way to make better use of the fish, since, without the bones, this food is much more manageable and can be cooked better.

Now, if you don’t know how to remove the thorns properly, you can always ask the fishmonger to do it for you.

4. Cook the fish for a long time

This is another of the most common mistakes in home cooking: cooking fish for a long time.

The consequence, as you have already seen, is that the food stays dry. Therefore, if you want to enjoy the flavor and texture of the fish, do not overdo it.

5. Cook meat before fish

We end this post with another of the most frequent mistakes that you have probably made on occasion: buying fish and meat, and cooking the latter food first.

This mistake is quite serious, so we hope you will not make it again. Basically remember to cook the fish first so it doesn’t dry out, or do it on different plates.
