Steper pro is used to treat local fungal infections. Properties come from presence bifonazolwhich has a wide range of applications. It helps fight many diseases caused by fungi and yeasts.
- What is fungal infection in the body and what are its symptoms?
Steper pro is in the form of a light cream with a delicate mint scent that does not irritate. The preparation has a white color. It has been closed in an aluminum tube with a protective membrane and a polyethylene screw cap.

In the composition of Steper pro cream, apart from bifonazole, there are auxiliary substances, which include:
- cetyl alcohol,
- stearyl alcohol,
- cetylu palmitynian,
- oktylododekanol,
- polysorbate 60,
- sorbitanu stearynian,
- benzyl alcohol
- field mint essential oil with a reduced content of menthol,
- Purified Water.
Steper pro – main indications for use
The indication for the use of Steper pro cream is the topical treatment of fungal skin infections, including:
- mycosis of the hands and feet,
- trunk mycosis,
- superficial skin candidiasis,
- tinea versicolor,
- local dandruff erythematosus,
- mycosis of skin folds.
Steper pro – how to dose the drug?
Stepper pro should be used according to the doctor’s instructions or the information provided in the medicine leaflet. The recommended dosage is once a day – preferably at bedtime. Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area and gently massage it in. In order for Steper pro to reduce the effects of fungi and yeasts, it should be used for a long time:
- in the case of athlete’s foot, including tinea pedis, the treatment period is three weeks,
- in case of mycosis of the trunk, hands and skin folds, the treatment period is two to three weeks,
- in the case of tinea versicolor and dandruff erythematosus, the treatment period is two weeks,
- in the case of mycosis of the surface of the skin, the treatment period lasts from two to four weeks.
In infants and children, Steper pro may only be used under the supervision of a doctor
Steper pro – contraindications to use
The main contraindication to the use of Steper pro is hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients of the cream.
In the event of unnoticed improvement, you should stop lubricating the affected skin disease, and then see a doctor who will change the treatment of mycosis.
Steper pro – warnings
Warnings related to the use of Steper pro mainly apply to patients who have experienced allergic reactions to imidazole-derived antifungal drugs. These include econazole, clotrimazole and miconazole.
It should also be remembered that when applying cream to the affected area, wash your hands both before using the product and immediately after performing the procedure, so that the agent does not get into your eyes.
Steper pro has no influence on the operation of machines and driving of vehicles.
Steper pro – drug interactions
Steper pro may interact with other medications, including warfarin, increasing the risk of bleeding. If the patient is to use Steper pro and warfarin at the same time, he should be under constant medical supervision.

The use of Steper pro may be associated with the occurrence of side effects. Possible side effects include:

- hives
- skin maceration,
- erythema,
- itching
- rash,
- peripheral swelling
- a burning sensation on the skin,
- dry skin.
The above-mentioned symptoms do not appear in all people. They disappear after the end of treatment.
Steper pro – can the cream be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
In the case of pregnant women and those planning to become pregnant, the use of Steper pro should be consulted with a gynecologist, because patients in the first trimester of pregnancy should not use the cream. If the treating physician decides that a breastfeeding woman should use Steper, she must stop breastfeeding.

Steper pro – how to store the medicine?
Stepper pro should be kept out of the sight and reach of children. It is best to choose a room where the temperature does not exceed 25 degrees C. The cream must not be frozen. After the expiry date, the cream should not be used.
