Steam mop: application, which is better
Hot steam is a simple but reliable means of fighting dirt, germs, and dust mites. The inventors used its properties in the original home cleaning machine. The electrical device cleans up impurities with water vapor. Outwardly, it looks like a regular floor brush, but it has many useful functions.
Steam mop – which one is better?
The new household appliance is designed to make housework easier. Long handle eliminates the need to bend over. Water container and steam generator replace heavy buckets. A rotating sole works much more efficiently than a rag, penetrating into all corners and crevices.
Key features of the device:
- cleaning the floor. You can process carpets, carpets, parquet, wooden boards, marble and ceramic tiles. Linoleum and laminate flooring should be washed at low settings;
- washing batteries, pipes, ventilation grilles, kitchen hoods. For this, there are narrow nozzles in the kit;
- treatment of stubborn dirt on the stove, in the microwave. Steam is used to heat burnt fat. Then the surfaces are wiped by hand with a rag;
- disinfection of bathtubs, sinks, toilets, joints between tiles;
- washing windows, plastic frames and mirrors. A scraper attachment is used as a wiper;
- steaming of wall hangings, curtains, clothes.
Distilled or filtered water is used for all types of work. Do not pour chemical detergents into the device!
Household appliance models differ depending on the design and the number of functions. There are four main types:
- Classical. The device is designed for cleaning and disinfecting the floor, therefore it is equipped with a minimum number of attachments. Differs in light weight and compactness. Convenient in a standard apartment.
- With a triangular base. Small size and movable triangle sole are perfect for cleaning small spaces.
- Multifunctional. Not only removes dust, but also cleans windows, kitchen utensils, and steams fabrics. Optimal in a large private house.
- With dry cleaning function. An electric broom is built into the design of the mop. Since the device sweeps and washes at the same time, it is purchased by the owners of offices, restaurants, shops.
When choosing, you should give preference to a device made of aluminum, weighing up to 3,5 kg, with microfiber pads.
Practical and handy, the steam mop will help keep your home perfectly clean, even with small children and pets. Full cleaning is done in just a quarter of an hour. Continuous use negates the risk of allergen build-up and mold formation.
